(1) For aircraft without Additional Center Tanks (ACT) 2, 3 and 5 installed:
(a) Open aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the ON position.
(c) Remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
(2) For aircraft with ACT 2, 3 and 5 installed:
(a) In the aft cabin, remove the center textile floor covering between Frames 62 and 64 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
(b) Remove floor panel 251DH (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-000-001).
(c) Remove access panel 161EC in the ceiling of the aft cargo compartment.
(d) In the bulk cargo compartment, remove the sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
4. Procedure(1) For aircraft without Additional Center Tanks (ACT) 2, 3 and 5 installed:
(a) Open aft cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the ON position.
(c) Remove sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
(2) For aircraft with ACT 2, 3 and 5 installed:
(a) In the aft cabin, remove the center textile floor covering between Frames 62 and 64 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-28-41-000-001).
(b) Remove floor panel 251DH (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-000-001).
(c) Remove access panel 161EC in the ceiling of the aft cargo compartment.
(d) In the bulk cargo compartment, remove the sidewall panel 162CW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).

B. Preparation for the Test
(2) On overhead panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend on the SVCE INT OVRD pushbutton switch is off.
(3) In zone 132, connect the BOOMSET 600 OHMS to the service interphone jack.
(4) Prepare the 99L26208849001 TESTBOX-CIRCUIT, FES (referred to as the test tool):
(a) Make sure that the battery (9V) is in the battery housing.
(b) Set the power switch to the ON position.
(c) Make sure that the green led POWER is on.
(d) Make sure that the voltmeter and the ammeter display units are on.
(e) If necessary, push and hold the DISPLAY BACKLIGHT pushbutton:
1 Make sure that the voltmeter and the ammeter display-unit lights are on.
(f) Connect the correct adapter cable to the test tool.
(5) At the fire extinguisher bottle:
(b) At the cartridges of the fire extinguisher bottle:
3 Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
Subtask 26-23-00-020-057-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: For this test procedure, it is recommended that a minimum of two persons speak with each other through the service interphone system. One person to monitor cockpit overhead panel 22VU and the other person to be at zone 132.
(1) On the CAPT jack panel, connect the HEADSET 600 OHMS to the related connector. (2) On overhead panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend on the SVCE INT OVRD pushbutton switch is off.
(3) In zone 132, connect the BOOMSET 600 OHMS to the service interphone jack.
(4) Prepare the 99L26208849001 TESTBOX-CIRCUIT, FES (referred to as the test tool):
(a) Make sure that the battery (9V) is in the battery housing.
(b) Set the power switch to the ON position.
(c) Make sure that the green led POWER is on.
(d) Make sure that the voltmeter and the ammeter display units are on.
(e) If necessary, push and hold the DISPLAY BACKLIGHT pushbutton:
1 Make sure that the voltmeter and the ammeter display-unit lights are on.
(f) Connect the correct adapter cable to the test tool.
(5) At the fire extinguisher bottle:
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE CARTRIDGE BEFORE YOU DO THE PROCEDURE APPLICABLE TO DEVICES THAT ARE SENSITIVE TO ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE. ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE TO RELEASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(a) Make sure that you are grounded with the ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED WRIST STRAP. (b) At the cartridges of the fire extinguisher bottle:
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU TOUCH THE POWER DEVICE CARTRIDGE, MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE GROUNDED AND THAT YOU INSTALL A SHUNT DEVICE ON IT. USE A CAP OR PLUG AS SHUNT DEVICE (THE CAP OR PLUG WILL SHUNT THE PINS TOGETHER ON THE CARTRIDGE). DO NOT USE A FOIL SHUNT.
IF YOU TOUCH A POWER DEVICE CARTRIDGE THAT DOES NOT HAVE A SHUNT DEVICE INSTALLED, AN EXPLOSION CAN OCCUR AND CAUSE INJURIES TO YOU.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
1 Disconnect the electrical connectors from the cartridges as follows: - Electrical connector 4005WX-A from cartridge 4001WX
- Electrical connector 4005WX-C from cartridge 4003WX.
3 Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
B. Preparation for the Test
(2) On overhead panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend on the SVCE INT OVRD pushbutton switch is off.
(3) In zone 162, connect the BOOMSET 600 OHMS to the service interphone jack.

1 Disconnect the electrical connectors from the cartridges as follows: - Electrical connector 4015WX-A from cartridge 4016WX
- Electrical connector 4015WX-C from cartridge 4018WX.
3 Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
B. Preparation for the Test
(2) On overhead panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend on the SVCE INT OVRD pushbutton switch is off.
(3) In zone 132, connect the BOOMSET 600 OHMS to the service interphone jack.
(4) Prepare the 99L26208849001 TESTBOX-CIRCUIT, FES (referred to as the test tool):
(a) Make sure that the battery (9V) is in the battery housing.
(b) Set the power switch to the ON position.
(c) Make sure that the green led POWER is on.
(d) Make sure that the voltmeter and the ammeter display units are on.
(e) If necessary, push and hold the DISPLAY BACKLIGHT pushbutton:

(f) Connect the correct adapter cable to the test tool.

IF YOU TOUCH A POWER DEVICE CARTRIDGE THAT DOES NOT HAVE A SHUNT DEVICE INSTALLED, AN EXPLOSION CAN OCCUR AND CAUSE INJURIES TO YOU.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE DISCONNECTED FROM THE CARTRIDGES OF THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES BEFORE YOU DO THIS TEST.
IF AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR IS CONNECTED, AN ACCIDENTAL EXPLOSION OF THE CARTRIDGE WILL OCCUR. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS, IDENTIFY THEM. THEN, MAKE SURE THAT YOU DISCONNECT THE APPLICABLE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS.
A DISCHARGE OF THE FIRE EXTINGUISHING BOTTLE WILL OCCUR IF:
- YOU DISCONNECT THE PRESSURE SWITCH CONNECTOR INSTEAD OF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR, AND

WARNING:

(c) Connect the electrical connectors to the cartridges as follows: - Electrical connector 4005WX-A to cartridge 4001WX
- Electrical connector 4005WX-C to cartridge 4003WX.
(4) In zone 132, disconnect the BOOMSET 600 OHMS from the service interphone jack.
F. After the Test Procedure
