(2) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to the ON position.
(3) Remove the sidewall panel 132MW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).

(1) If an Additional Center Tank (ACT) is installed:
(a) Remove cabin floor panel 231VF (Ref. AMM TASK 53-22-12-000-001).
(b) Remove ceiling panel 131CC from the cargo compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-002).
(c) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons that the floor panel is open.
(d) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons that nitrogen will flow from the spray nozzles.
(e) Remove sidewall panel 132MW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
(2) If the ACT is not installed:
(a) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zone 825.
(b) Open forward cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(c) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to ON.
(d) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons that nitrogen will flow from the spray nozzles.
(e) Remove sidewall panel 132MW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).

A. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Check Valves
(2) Discard the pin (1).
(3) Hold the inlet port of the check valve in a soft-jawed vice. Remove the housing (6) from the valve body (4).
(4) Remove and discard the o-ring (2).
(5) Clean the housing (6), the valve body (4), the spring (3) and the valve (5) with a soft-bristle brush and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(6) Dry the components with clean with compressed air.
(7) Make sure that the mating surfaces of the valve (5) and the valve body (4) are in the correct condition.
(8) Move the valve (5) through its full range of travel. Make sure that the valve moves freely.
(9) Hold the valve body (4) in the vertical position with the inlet port highest. Make sure that the spring (3) holds the valve in the closed position.
(10) Install the new AIPC 26-23-21-01-030 O-RING (2) on the valve body (4).
(11) Hold the inlet port of the check valve in a soft-jawed vice. Install the housing (6) on the valve body (4).
(12) TORQUE the housing (6) to between 170 and 160 lbf.in (1.92 and 1.81 m.daN )
until the holes in the housing (6) and the valve body (4) are aligned.
(13) Install the new AIPC 26-23-21-01-010 PIN (1) in the housing (6).
(14) Make sure that the threads of the inlet port are in the correct condition.
Subtask 26-23-00-210-054-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
(1) Remove the pin (1) with the PUNCH - PIN. - FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
- GET MEDICAL AID.
(2) Discard the pin (1).
(3) Hold the inlet port of the check valve in a soft-jawed vice. Remove the housing (6) from the valve body (4).
(4) Remove and discard the o-ring (2).
(5) Clean the housing (6), the valve body (4), the spring (3) and the valve (5) with a soft-bristle brush and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(6) Dry the components with clean with compressed air.
(7) Make sure that the mating surfaces of the valve (5) and the valve body (4) are in the correct condition.
(8) Move the valve (5) through its full range of travel. Make sure that the valve moves freely.
(9) Hold the valve body (4) in the vertical position with the inlet port highest. Make sure that the spring (3) holds the valve in the closed position.
(10) Install the new AIPC 26-23-21-01-030 O-RING (2) on the valve body (4).
(11) Hold the inlet port of the check valve in a soft-jawed vice. Install the housing (6) on the valve body (4).
(12) TORQUE the housing (6) to between 170 and 160 lbf.in (1.92 and 1.81 m.daN )
until the holes in the housing (6) and the valve body (4) are aligned. (13) Install the new AIPC 26-23-21-01-010 PIN (1) in the housing (6).
(14) Make sure that the threads of the inlet port are in the correct condition.
A. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Check Valves
(2) Discard the pin (1).
(3) Hold the inlet port of the check valve in the VICE - SOFT JAWED.
(4) Remove the housing (6) from the valve body (4).
(5) Remove and discard the o-ring (2).
(6) Clean the housing (6), valve body (4), spring (3) and valve (5) with a soft-bristle brush and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(7) Dry the components with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) or clean with compressed air.
(8) Make sure that the mating surfaces of the valve (5) and the valve body (4) are in the correct condition.
(9) Move the valve (5) to its full range of travel.
(10) Make sure that the valve moves freely.
(11) Make sure that the inlet port is at the top when you hold the valve body (4) in the vertical position.
(12) Make sure that the spring (3) holds the valve in the closed position.
(13) Install the new AIPC 26-23-21-20-020 O-RING (2) or AIPC 26-23-21-01-030 O-RING (2) on the valve body (4).
(14) Hold the inlet port of the check valve in the VICE - SOFT JAWED.
(15) Loosely install the housing (6) on the valve body (4).
(16) TORQUE the housing (6) to between 170 and 160 lbf.in (1.92 and 1.81 m.daN )
until the holes in the housing (6) and the valve body (4) are aligned.
(17) Install the new AIPC 26-23-21-20-010 PIN (1) or AIPC 26-23-21-01-010 PIN (1) in the housing (6).
(18) Make sure that the threads of the inlet port are in the correct condition.
Subtask 26-23-00-210-054-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:

(8) Make sure that the mating surfaces of the valve (5) and the valve body (4) are in the correct condition.
(9) Move the valve (5) to its full range of travel.
(10) Make sure that the valve moves freely.
(11) Make sure that the inlet port is at the top when you hold the valve body (4) in the vertical position.
(12) Make sure that the spring (3) holds the valve in the closed position.
(13) Install the new AIPC 26-23-21-20-020 O-RING (2) or AIPC 26-23-21-01-030 O-RING (2) on the valve body (4).
(14) Hold the inlet port of the check valve in the VICE - SOFT JAWED.
(15) Loosely install the housing (6) on the valve body (4).
(16) TORQUE the housing (6) to between 170 and 160 lbf.in (1.92 and 1.81 m.daN )
until the holes in the housing (6) and the valve body (4) are aligned. (17) Install the new AIPC 26-23-21-20-010 PIN (1) or AIPC 26-23-21-01-010 PIN (1) in the housing (6).
(18) Make sure that the threads of the inlet port are in the correct condition.
A. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Check Valves
(1) Remove the tension pin (1) with the PUNCH - PIN
(2) Discard the tension pin (1).
(3) Hold the housing (6) of the check valve body (4) in a VICE - SOFT JAWED.
(4) Remove the check valve body (4) from the housing (6) with the AETL34989 PIN SPANNER (7).
(5) Remove and discard the O-ring (2) from the check valve body (4).
(6) Clean the check valve :
(7) Dry the components with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) or clean with compressed air.
(8) Make sure that the mating surfaces of the valve (5) and the check valve body (4) are in the correct condition.
(9) Move the valve (5) through its full range of travel. Make sure that the valve (5) moves freely.
(10) Hold the check valve body (4) in the vertical position with the inlet port highest. Make sure that the spring (3) holds the valve (5) in the closed position.
(11) Install the new AIPC 26-23-21-01-030 O-RING (2) on the check valve body (4).
(12) Loosely install the housing (6) on the check valve body (4).
(13) With the AETL34989 PIN SPANNER (7) TORQUE the housing (6) to between 170 and 160 lbf.in (1.92 and 1.81 m.daN )
until the holes of the housing (6) and the check valve body (4) align.
(14) Install the new AIPC 26-23-21-01-010 PIN (1) in holes of the housing (6) and the check valve body (4).
(15) Make sure that the threads of the inlet port are in the correct condition.
Subtask 26-23-00-210-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the tension pin (1) with the PUNCH - PIN
(2) Discard the tension pin (1).
(3) Hold the housing (6) of the check valve body (4) in a VICE - SOFT JAWED.
(4) Remove the check valve body (4) from the housing (6) with the AETL34989 PIN SPANNER (7).
(5) Remove and discard the O-ring (2) from the check valve body (4).
(6) Clean the check valve :

(8) Make sure that the mating surfaces of the valve (5) and the check valve body (4) are in the correct condition.
(9) Move the valve (5) through its full range of travel. Make sure that the valve (5) moves freely.
(10) Hold the check valve body (4) in the vertical position with the inlet port highest. Make sure that the spring (3) holds the valve (5) in the closed position.
(11) Install the new AIPC 26-23-21-01-030 O-RING (2) on the check valve body (4).
(12) Loosely install the housing (6) on the check valve body (4).
(13) With the AETL34989 PIN SPANNER (7) TORQUE the housing (6) to between 170 and 160 lbf.in (1.92 and 1.81 m.daN )
until the holes of the housing (6) and the check valve body (4) align. (14) Install the new AIPC 26-23-21-01-010 PIN (1) in holes of the housing (6) and the check valve body (4).
(15) Make sure that the threads of the inlet port are in the correct condition.
B. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Diaphragm
(1) Make sure that the hole in the diaphragm (1) is clean and has no blockage.
(2) Make sure that there is no corrosion on the diaphragm (1).
(3) Use a GAGE DIA 1.4 MM (0.055 IN) - GO/NO GO to make sure that the hole in the diaphragm (1) has the correct diameter.
Subtask 26-23-00-210-058-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the hole in the diaphragm (1) is clean and has no blockage.
(2) Make sure that there is no corrosion on the diaphragm (1).
(3) Use a GAGE DIA 1.4 MM (0.055 IN) - GO/NO GO to make sure that the hole in the diaphragm (1) has the correct diameter.
NOTE: The diaphragm is serviceable, if the diameter of the hole is between 1.35 mm (0.0531 in.) and 1.45 mm (0.0571 in.).
(4) Make sure that the threads of the diaphragm (1) are clean and in the correct condition. C. Detailed Visual Inspection of the Halon Filters
(2) Remove the solid-particle filter bowl (7) from the filter head (4).
(3) Remove and discard the O-ring (5) and do an inspection of the solid-particle filter element (6).
(4) Remove the water-absorbing filter bowl (1) from the filter head (4).
(5) Remove and discard the O-ring (3) and do an inspection of the water-adsorbing filter element (2).

- Install the water-adsorbing filter element (2) and the filter bowl (1) on the filter head (4).
- Replace the water-adsorbing filter (Ref. AMM TASK 26-23-14-920-001).
