DO NOT TOUCH THE FRANGIBLE DISC IN THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE. DAMAGE TO THE FRANGIBLE DISC CAN CAUSE UNWANTED DISCHARGE AND INJURY TO PERSONS.

A. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the engine fire-extinguisher bottle is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-000-001).
(2) Make sure that the cartridge is removed from the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-000-004).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the engine fire-extinguisher bottle is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-000-001).
(2) Make sure that the cartridge is removed from the engine fire-extinguisher bottle (Ref. AMM TASK 26-21-41-000-004).
Subtask 26-21-41-020-055-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Discharge Head
(a) Remove and discard the O-ring (4).
(b) Remove the ring (3).
(c) Remove the nut assembly (items 2, 5, 6 and 7).
(2) If necessary, disassemble the nut assembly.
(a) Remove the retaining ring (7).
(b) Remove the knurled ring (6), the spring (5) and the nut (2).
(3) Remove the discharge head.
(a) Cut and remove the lockwire from the discharge head (1).
(b) Loosen the nut of the discharge head (1).
(c) Remove the discharge head (1).
(d) Remove and discard the O-ring (8).
(e) Install a 30840002 PROTECTIVE CAP on the fire extinguisher bottle (9).
Subtask 26-21-41-020-055-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE FRANGIBLE DISC IN THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE. DAMAGE TO THE FRANGIBLE DISC CAN CAUSE UNWANTED DISCHARGE AND INJURY TO PERSONS.
(1) If necessary, remove the nut assembly from the discharged head. (a) Remove and discard the O-ring (4).
(b) Remove the ring (3).
(c) Remove the nut assembly (items 2, 5, 6 and 7).
(2) If necessary, disassemble the nut assembly.
(a) Remove the retaining ring (7).
(b) Remove the knurled ring (6), the spring (5) and the nut (2).
(3) Remove the discharge head.
(a) Cut and remove the lockwire from the discharge head (1).
(b) Loosen the nut of the discharge head (1).
(c) Remove the discharge head (1).
(d) Remove and discard the O-ring (8).
(e) Install a 30840002 PROTECTIVE CAP on the fire extinguisher bottle (9).
