Check of the Wiring of the Smoke Detector Loop via MCDU

1. Reason for the Job
This test is a special check of the condition of the wiring. It allows a check of the wiring without performing a full BITE test of the SDCU.

A. Get access to the Main Menu of the MCDU.

4. Procedure
Subtask 26-17-00-710-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Test
(1) On the MCDU:

Select system status/test.
Select fire protection.
Select SDCU.

(2) If the display shows the Main Menu of the SDCU, select "WIRING REPORT".
(3) If there is a defect in the wiring:

The display gives information about the location of the defect, for example: WIRING DEFECT BETWEEN SMOKE DET LAV A (1WQ) AND SMOKE DET LAV D (4WQ).
Refer to the affected troubleshooting procedure TSM 26-17-00-810-805.

(4) If there is no wiring defect, the display shows "No FAILURE".

5. Close-up
Subtask 26-17-00-860-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
