A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (3) Make sure that the ENGINE/WARNING page shows on the ECAM upper display unit.
   (4) On one MCDU get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST FIRE PROT menu (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-005).

A. Test of the Cargo-Compartment Smoke-Detection System
   (1) Both CIDS-SDF channels and all cargo-compartment smoke-detectors must be supplied with power for a minimum of 30 seconds before you start the test.
   (2) Do this test procedure:

NOTE: Automatic procedures related to the red message will be shown during the test on the ECAM upper display unit. All these procedures, except agent discharge information, can be ignored.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the SDCU or SMOKE indication.
On the MCDU:
If SDCU indication is displayed:
  • The CIDS-SDF page comes into view and shows:
    SDCU FUNCTION
    IS INTEGRATED IN
    CIDS DIRECTORS
    101RH & 102RH
    CALLED CIDS-SDFx

    If SMOKE indication is displayed on the MCDU:
  • The CIDS-SDF main menu comes into view.
If SDCU indication is displayed on the MCDU:
  • Push the NEXT PAGE button.
On the MCDU:
  • The CIDS-SDF main menu comes into view.
2.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the SMOKE WARN TESTS indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The SMOKE WARNING TESTS menu comes into view.
  • Push the line key adjacent to the FWD LDCC TEST indication.
  • The message IN PROGRESS 10 SEC shows.

  • The SMK DET FWD LDCC TEST page comes into view and the message:
    ON OVHD PANEL AND ECAM
    WARNING DISPLAY
    MAKE SURE THAT
    "SMOKE FWD CARGO SMOKE"
    IS INDICATED
    shows.

On the glareshield panels 130VU and 131VU:
  • The MASTER WARN lights flash.
  • You hear the Continuous Repetitive Chime (CRC).

On the ECAM upper display unit:
  • SMOKE FWD CARGO SMOKE
  • ...AGENT...........DISCH
    come into view.

On the CARGO SMOKE panel 22VU:
  • The SMOKE FWD CARGO warning light comes on.
  • Push the line key adjacent to the YES indication.
On the MCDU:
The SMK DET FWD LDCC TEST page comes into view and the message:
TEST OK
shows.

In the cockpit:
  • All smoke warnings and indications are cancelled.
3.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The SMOKE WARNING TESTS menu comes into view.
4.Push the line key adjacent to the AFT LDCC TEST indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The message IN PROGRESS 10 SEC shows.

  • The SMK DET AFT LDCC TEST page comes into view and the message:
    ON OVHD PANEL AND ECAM
    WARNING DISPLAY
    MAKE SURE THAT
    "SMOKE AFT CARGO SMOKE"
    IS INDICATED
    shows.

On the glareshield panels 130VU and 131VU:
  • The MASTER WARN lights flash.
  • You hear the CRC.

On the ECAM upper display unit:
  • SMOKE AFT CARGO SMOKE
  • ...AGENT...........DISCH
    come into view.

On the CARGO SMOKE panel 22VU:
  • The SMOKE AFT CARGO warning light comes on.
  • Push the line key adjacent to the YES indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The SMK DET AFT LDCC TEST page comes into view and the message:
    TEST OK
    shows.

In the cockpit:
  • All smoke warnings and indications are cancelled.
5.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The SMOKE WARNING TESTS menu comes into view.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the MCDU, push the line select key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS menu page comes into view.
   (2) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
