Subtask 26-15-15-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Smoke Detector
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR IS CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT IT. CONTAMINATION OF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR CAN CAUSE INCORRECT FIRE DETECTION.
   (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the couplings (4) and the smoke detector (1).
   (5) Make sure that the couplings (4) have no blockage. If necessary clean the couplings (4) with the CLEANING EQUIPMENT - COMPRESSOR.
   (6) Install the new AIPC 26-15-01-01-020 O-RINGS (3)AIPC 26-15-81-01-080 O-RINGS (3) on the couplings (4).
   (7) If applicable, install the protective strip (8) on the smoke detector (1).
   (8) Install the protective band (9) on the smoke detector (1).
   (9) Put the smoke detector (1) in position on the couplings (4).
   (10) Make sure that the locator of the smoke detector (1) is correctly installed behind the label on the ventilation duct (5).
   (11) Close the clamp (6) on the protective band (9). Tighten the locknut (7).
   (12) TORQUE the locknut (7) to between 0.033 and 0.027 m.daN (2.92 and 2.39 lbf.in )
T.
   (13) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (14) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (15) Connect the electrical connector (2) to the applicable electrical receptacle of the smoke detector (1).
   (16) If the protective cap (10) is attached to the harness (11), install it on the applicable electrical receptacle of the smoke detector (1).
   (17) Make sure that the protective cap (10) is in the correct position on the smoke detector (1).
