A. In the cockpit, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engines.

Subtask 26-12-34-420-050-A
A. Install the Fire Detection Unit (FDU):
(1) Put the Fire Detection Unit (1) on its support (4).
(2) Install the washers (3), the screws (2) and tighten them.
(3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (5) and (6).
(4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Connect the electrical connectors (5) and (6) to the Fire Detection Unit (1).
Subtask 26-12-34-865-052-A (1) Put the Fire Detection Unit (1) on its support (4).
(2) Install the washers (3), the screws (2) and tighten them.
(3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (5) and (6).
(4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Connect the electrical connectors (5) and (6) to the Fire Detection Unit (1).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Do this test:
(1) On the upper ECAM DU, make sure that the FIRE ENG 1(2) DET FAULT message has gone out of view.
(2) Do an operational test of the engine fire and overheat detection with the Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS) (Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-00-710-002).
(3) Do an operational check of loop/squib (Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-00-710-001)
5. Close-up(1) On the upper ECAM DU, make sure that the FIRE ENG 1(2) DET FAULT message has gone out of view.
(2) Do an operational test of the engine fire and overheat detection with the Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS) (Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-00-710-002).
(3) Do an operational check of loop/squib (Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-00-710-001)

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Close the access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Close the access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Engine Fire-Detection Unit (FDU)
