A. Installation of the Core Fire Detectors
CAUTION: INSTALL THE FIRE DETECTORS AND THE RAIL AS ONE ASSEMBLY. THE FIRE DETECTOR SENSOR ELEMENTS CAN BE DAMAGED IF NOT SUPPORTED BY THE RAIL.
   (1) Install the fire detector sensors on the engine brackets as follows:
NOTE: Install the fire detector sensors before you attach the rail assembly to the mounting brackets.
     (a) Put the LH core loop A fire detector sensor (4001WD1) in position on the engine bracket and attach it with the bolts (30) and washers (35) (two locations).
     (b) Put the RH core loop B fire detector sensor (4001WD2) in position on the engine bracket and attach it with the bolts (30) and washers (35) (three locations).
     (c) TORQUE the bolts (30) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN ) T.
   (2) Connect the rail assembly (50) to the engine brackets as follows:
     (a) Make sure that the fire detector rail assembly (50) is in the correct position on the engine.
     (b) Put the center mount clamps (55) in position on the mounting brackets (60).
     (c) Turn the screw (65) on the center mount clamp (55) to attach the clamp to the bracket (60).
     (d) TORQUE the screw on the center mount clamp (55) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
T.
   (3) Install the core loop A fire detector harness on the LH fire detector sensor (4001WD1):
