Subtask 26-12-16-010-075-A
A. Removal of the Pylon Fire-Detector Ramp-Assembly
(1) Make sure that the pylon fire-detector ramp-assembly is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-16-000-804).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the pylon fire-detector ramp-assembly is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-16-000-804).
Subtask 26-12-16-420-066-A
A. Installation of the Fire Detector
(2) Install the four washers (2) and screws (1) for each responder unit (3) and tighten them.
(3) Use the 98D26203003001 CAMBERING TOOL to make sure that the pylon fire-detector loop is bent correctly. The bend radius must be 9.5 mm (0.37 in.). This prevents the risk of rupture between the loop and the fire detector.
(4) Carefully install the sensing element (7) in the clamps (6), (9) and (10). Do these steps along the sensing element (7) to install it:
(a) Make sure that the sensing element (7) is at a minimum distance of 5 mm (0.20 in.) from the ramp assembly (4).
(b) Make sure that the end of the sensing element (7) is at a maximum distance of 25.4 mm (1.00 in.) from the clamp (10).
(c) Make sure that the sensing element (7) is correctly installed in the center of the groove of the clamps (6), (9) and (10).
(d) Close the clamps (6) and turn the related quarter-turn fasteners (5) by one quarter of a turn.
(e) Close the clamps (9) and turn the related quarter-turn fasteners (8) by one quarter of a turn.
(f) Close the clamps (10) and turn the related quarter-turn fasteners (11) by one quarter of a turn.
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT USE ELECTRICAL OR PNEUMATIC TOOLS TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE QUARTER-TURN FASTENER ON THE FIRE DETECTOR CLAMP. ONLY USE A MANUAL SCREWDRIVER. ELECTRICAL OR PNEUMATIC TOOLS WILL CAUSE THE FASTENER TO TURN TOO MUCH AND POSSIBLY TO BREAK.
CAUTION:
DO NOT BEND THE MANIFOLD OF THE SENSING ELEMENT. IF YOU BEND IT, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE WELDING.
(1) Carefully install the two responder units (3) on the rail assembly (4). (2) Install the four washers (2) and screws (1) for each responder unit (3) and tighten them.
