A. Installation of the Responders
   (1) Remove the blanking caps from the detectors (11).
NOTE: The protection rings (supplied with a new part) must not be removed from the sensing elements (4) at this time.
   (2) Install the responders (11) on their supports as follows:
     (a) Install the hexagonal nut of the responder (11) on the clamp (12).
     (b) Install the screws (8) and the washers (9).

B. Installation of the Pylon Fire Detector
   (1) Put the bushes (3) on the sensing elements (4), then in the clamps (2).
   (2) Remove the protection rings from the sensing elements (4) and make sure that the sensing elements (4) have a minimum straight length above the responders (11).
NOTE: When you bend the sensing elements near responders, be careful not cause fatigue damage on the brazing between the responder and the sensing elements.
   (3) Follow the radius of curvative and bend the sensing elements with your hand near the support corners and the detector responders.
   (4) Close the clamps (2) and lock them with the fasteners (1).
   (5) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (7).
   (6) Connect the electrical connectors (7) to the responders (11).

CAUTION: DO NOT BEND THE MANIFOLD OF THE SENSING ELEMENT. IF YOU BEND IT, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE WELDING.
C. Installation of the Fire Detectors
NOTE: You must not remove the protection rings (supplied with a new part) from the sensing elements (9) at this time.
   (1) Install each of the two responder units (2) in the two clamps (5).
   (2) Carefully install the two responder units (2) on the rail assembly (1).

D. Installation of the Pylon Fire Detectors
CAUTION: DO NOT BEND THE MANIFOLD OF THE SENSING ELEMENT. IF YOU BEND IT, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE WELDING.
   (1) Remove the protection rings from the sensing elements (9).
   (2) Install the grommet (8) and the grommets (12) on the two sensing elements (9).
   (3) Install the sensing elements (9).
     (a) Install the sensing elements (9) in the clamps (11).
     (b) Refer to the permitted tolerances and the instructions related to the bending radius.
     (c) Bend the sensing elements (9) with your hand and adapt them to the curve radii of the support and the responder units (2).
     (d) Make sure that the grommet (8) is in the correct position on the clamp (7).
     (e) Make sure that the grommets (12) are in the correct position on the clamps (11).
   (4) Close the clamps (7) and (11).
CAUTION: DO NOT USE ELECTRICAL OR PNEUMATIC TOOLS TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE QUARTER-TURN FASTENER ON THE FIRE DETECTOR CLAMP. ONLY USE A MANUAL SCREWDRIVER. ELECTRICAL OR PNEUMATIC TOOLS WILL CAUSE THE FASTENER TO TURN TOO MUCH AND POSSIBLY TO BREAK.
     (a) Close the clamp (7) and lock it with the quarter-turn fastener (6).
     (b) Close the clamps (11) and lock them with the quarter-turn fastener (10).
