E. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

F. Get Access
   (1) Open the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

G. Removal of the Components
   (1) Remove the OPV (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-53-000-802).
   (2) Remove the Environment Control System (ECS) L-duct (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-49-000-824).
   (3) If necessary, remove the turbine cooling air-system-pipe (Ref. AMM TASK 75-25-49-000-802).
4. Procedure
Subtask 26-12-16-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Pylon Fire-Detector Ramp-Assembly
CAUTION: DO NOT USE ELECTRICAL OR PNEUMATIC TOOLS TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE QUARTER-TURN FASTENER ON THE FIRE DETECTOR CLAMP. ONLY USE A MANUAL SCREWDRIVER. ELECTRICAL OR PNEUMATIC TOOLS WILL CAUSE THE FASTENER TO TURN TOO MUCH AND POSSIBLY TO BREAK.
   (1) Turn the quarter-turn fasteners (11) by one quarter of a turn and open the clamps (10).
   (2) Remove the two nuts (6) to disengage the two electrical connectors (7) from the two responders (5).
   (3) Remove the two nuts (8) to disengage the two electrical connectors (9) from the two responders (5).
   (4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (5) Carefully disengage the four electrical cables (7) and (9) from the four clamps (10).
   (6) Remove the screws (1) and the washers (2) from the ramp assembly (4).
   (7) Carefully remove the ramp assembly (4) from the structure (3).
