Subtask 26-12-15-860-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE/CRANK/NORM/IGN/START selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Make sure that the fan cowls are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010):

4. Procedure
Subtask 26-12-15-420-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Accessory-Zone Fire-Detector
CAUTION: REMOVE OR INSTALL THE SENSING ELEMENTS CAREFULLY. DO NOT TWIST, BEND OR CAUSE KINKS IN THE SENSING ELEMENTS. IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THEM.
   (1) Installation of the accessory-zone fire detector elements to the support tube
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Attach the responders (75) and (80) and attached detector elements (77) and (78) to the support tube (76) with the nuts (91).
     (b) TORQUE the nuts (91) to between 26 and 24 lbf.in (0.29 and 0.27 m.daN ) T.
     (c) Safety the nuts (91) with the lockwire (87).
     (d) Attach the new liners (89) and (90) in the correct positions as recorded during the removal.
     (e) Safety the liners (89) and (90) with the tie straps (88).
   (2) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (1), (5), (20), (25), (29), (32), (44), (50), (53), (67), (68) and (82) and the nuts (4), (7), (22), (28), (46), (49), (54) and (70) with V10-077lubricant (engine oil).
   (3) Install the detector assembly.
     (a) Attach the two responders (75) and (80) to the raft at position N with the four clamps (74) and (79), the two washers (81) and the two bolts (82).
     (b) TORQUE the two bolts (82) to between 44 and 36 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.41 m.daN )
T (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
     (c) Attach the detector assembly at clip position B with clip (2), the bolt (1), the washer (3) and the nut (4).
     (d) Attach the detector assembly at clip positions C, D, F, H, J, K and M.
       1 Pre-SBN 71-0273: Attach the clips (6), (21), (26), (43), (47), (52) and (71) to the brackets and tube supports, with the bolts (5), (20), (29), (44), (50), (53) and (68), the washers (8), (19), (27), (45), (48), (51) and (69) and the nuts (7), (22), (28), (46), (49), (54) and (70).
       2 SBN 71-0273: Attach the clips (6), (21), (26), (43), (47), (52), (71), (83), (85), and (86) to the brackets and tube supports, with the bolts (5), (20), (29), (44), (50), (53) and (68), the washers (8), (19), (27), (45), (48), (51) and (69), the spacer (84) and the nuts (7), (22), (28), (46), (49), (54) and (70).
     (e) Attach the detector assembly, at clip positions E, G and L, to the brackets with clips (23), (30) and (65), the washers (24), (31), and (66) and the bolts (25), (32) and (67).
     (f) Make sure that the detector assembly is not twisted or bent.
     (g) TORQUE the bolts (25), (32) and (67) and the nuts (4), (7), (22), (28), (46), (49), (54) and (70) to between 44 and 36 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.41 m.daN ) T (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-11-911-013).
   (4) Remove the applicable caps from the electrical connectors.
   (5) Connect the electrical connectors 4000WD1-A and 4000WD2-A (72) and (73) to the responders (75) and (80) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-23-15-912-010).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):
     (a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

     (b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)

   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

B. Do an operational test of the engine fire and overheat detection (Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-00-710-001).
