Manual Unloading Procedure for 60.4-Inch x 61.5-Inch Unit Load Devices (ULD) in the Lower Deck Aft Cargo-Compartment
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT CAUSE ACCIDENTAL MOVEMENT OF A ULD DURING THE UNLOADING PROCEDURE:
1. Reason for the Job- USE SUFFICIENT LOADING PERSONNEL TO DO THE PROCEDURE SAFELY.
- DO NOT UNLOCK A ULD UNTIL IMMEDIATELY BEFORE YOU UNLOAD IT.
If a power failure or malfunction occurs, you can do the loading manually.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Put a LOADER - PLATFORM in position at the entrance to the aft cargo compartment.
(3) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(4) Set the CARGO COMPARTMENT LIGHT switch on the service panel to the ON position.
(5) Lower the entrance guide and lock it.
(6) Lower the manually operated YZ-latches of the door-sill latches.
(7) Lower the door-sill latches.
4. Procedure(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Put a LOADER - PLATFORM in position at the entrance to the aft cargo compartment.
(3) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(4) Set the CARGO COMPARTMENT LIGHT switch on the service panel to the ON position.
(5) Lower the entrance guide and lock it.
(6) Lower the manually operated YZ-latches of the door-sill latches.
(7) Lower the door-sill latches.
Subtask 25-52-00-913-072-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. (1) Unlock the manually operated components of the CLS for the unloading of the ULDs (Ref. AMM TASK 25-52-00-913-001).
Subtask 25-52-00-913-073-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL B. (1) Unlock ULD at the load position 41.
(2) Set the SILL LOCK handle to the UNLOCK position to lower the Y-latches of the door-sill latches. Hold it in this position.
(3) Move the ULD out of the aircraft manually.
(4) Release the SILL LOCK handle.
(5) Move the ULD out of the cargo compartment to its correct position on the loader platform.
Subtask 25-52-00-913-076-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (2) Set the SILL LOCK handle to the UNLOCK position to lower the Y-latches of the door-sill latches. Hold it in this position.
(3) Move the ULD out of the aircraft manually.
(4) Release the SILL LOCK handle.
(5) Move the ULD out of the cargo compartment to its correct position on the loader platform.
C. (1) Unlock ULD and move it forward until the ULD touches the XZ-latches at the aft of the load position 33.
(2) Move the ULD out of the aircraft manually.
(3) Move the ULD out of the cargo compartment to its correct position on the loader platform.
Subtask 25-52-00-913-077-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (2) Move the ULD out of the aircraft manually.
(3) Move the ULD out of the cargo compartment to its correct position on the loader platform.
D. (1) Lift the pawls of the XZ latches at the aft of the load position 41.
(2) Unlock each ULD and move it aft until the ULD touches the XZ-latches of the load position 41.
(3) Move the ULD out of the aircraft manually.
(4) Release the SILL LOCK handle.
(5) Move the ULD out of the cargo compartment to its correct position on the loader platform.
5. Close-up(2) Unlock each ULD and move it aft until the ULD touches the XZ-latches of the load position 41.
(3) Move the ULD out of the aircraft manually.
(4) Release the SILL LOCK handle.
(5) Move the ULD out of the cargo compartment to its correct position on the loader platform.
Subtask 25-52-00-860-104-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the Aircraft back to its Initial Configuration
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the door sill latch to the up and locked position.
(3) Make sure that the pawls of the YZ-latches of the door-sill latches are lifted.
Subtask 25-52-00-410-085-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the door sill latch to the up and locked position.
(3) Make sure that the pawls of the YZ-latches of the door-sill latches are lifted.
B. Close Access
(1) Unlock the entrance guide and lift it.
(2) On the service panel, set the CARGO COMPARTMENT LIGHT switch to the OFF position.
(3) Remove the loader platform.
(4) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
Subtask 25-52-00-862-077-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Unlock the entrance guide and lift it.
(2) On the service panel, set the CARGO COMPARTMENT LIGHT switch to the OFF position.
(3) Remove the loader platform.
(4) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
