C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Depressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
(2) Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).

D. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel, on the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:
(2) On the HP and LP ground-air connectors, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to connect the ground air supply.
(3) On the water service panel, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to do the servicing of the potable water system.
Subtask 25-33-42-010-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel, on the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:
- APU BLEED pushbutton switch (the ON legend is off)
- All the ENG BLEED pushbutton switches (the OFF legends are on)
- PACK 1 and PACK 2 pushbutton switches (the OFF legends are on).
(2) On the HP and LP ground-air connectors, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to connect the ground air supply.
(3) On the water service panel, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to do the servicing of the potable water system.
E. Get Access
(1) Open all applicable doors to get access to the parts that you must remove/disconnect.
(2) If necessary, remove the contents of the galley.
(3) Remove all the items of non-electrical equipment from the galley.
(4) Remove the items of equipment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-00-010-001).
(5) If the curtain(s) and the curtain rail(s) are installed, remove them (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-003).
(6) Remove the ceiling panels and the door frame linings in the area of the galley (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-004).
(7) If necessary, remove the aft utility-area ceiling-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-002).
Subtask 25-33-42-010-050-S ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open all applicable doors to get access to the parts that you must remove/disconnect.
(2) If necessary, remove the contents of the galley.
(3) Remove all the items of non-electrical equipment from the galley.
(4) Remove the items of equipment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-00-010-001).
(5) If the curtain(s) and the curtain rail(s) are installed, remove them (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-003).
(6) Remove the ceiling panels and the door frame linings in the area of the galley (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-004).
(7) If necessary, remove the aft utility-area ceiling-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-002).
E. Get Access
(1) Open all applicable doors to get access to the parts that you must remove/disconnect.
(2) If necessary, remove the contents of the galley.
(3) Remove all the items of non-electrical equipment from the galley.
(4) Remove these items of equipment:
(a) Remove the oven(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-19-000-001).
(b) Remove the water boiler(s)/heater(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-27-000-001).
(c) Remove the galley control panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-34-000-001).
(5) If the curtain(s) and the curtain rail(s) are installed, remove them (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-003).
(6) Remove the ceiling panels and the door frame linings in the area of the galley (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-004).
(7) If necessary, remove the aft utility-area ceiling-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-002).
4. Procedure(1) Open all applicable doors to get access to the parts that you must remove/disconnect.
(2) If necessary, remove the contents of the galley.
(3) Remove all the items of non-electrical equipment from the galley.
(4) Remove these items of equipment:
(a) Remove the oven(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-19-000-001).
(b) Remove the water boiler(s)/heater(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-27-000-001).
(c) Remove the galley control panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-34-000-001).
(5) If the curtain(s) and the curtain rail(s) are installed, remove them (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-003).
(6) Remove the ceiling panels and the door frame linings in the area of the galley (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-004).
(7) If necessary, remove the aft utility-area ceiling-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-002).
Subtask 25-33-42-020-050-AA ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Aft Galley Unit
(1) If necessary, remove all the decorative material.
(2) Disconnect the electrical connections:
(a) Release the fasteners (52) and remove the pelmet (50).
(b) Remove the nuts (4), the bolts (1), the washers (2) and the bonding straps (3).
(3) Remove the upper attachments:
(a) Open the door (51).
(b) Remove the screws (69) and the cover (70).
(c) Remove the quick-release pins (65) and disconnect the tie rods (66) from the aircraft structure.
(4) Remove the lower attachments:
(b) Remove the screws (59) and the covers (58).
(c) Remove the screws (72), the seal plates (71) and the seal (73).
(d) Remove the bolts (53) and the washers (54).
(e) If installed, remove the washers (55).
(f) Remove the inner eccentric bushes (56) and the outer eccentric bushes (57).
(g) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(h) Carefully lift the galley and move it to the centerline of the aircraft.
(i) Remove the washers (63) and the rings (62).
(j) Remove and discard the packings (61).
(k) Remove the bushes (60).
(l) Remove the adhesive tape from the installation points of the bushes (60) (Ref. AMM D/O 51-22-00-00).
Subtask 25-33-42-020-051-W ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If necessary, remove all the decorative material.
(2) Disconnect the electrical connections:
(a) Release the fasteners (52) and remove the pelmet (50).
(b) Remove the nuts (4), the bolts (1), the washers (2) and the bonding straps (3).
(3) Remove the upper attachments:
(a) Open the door (51).
(b) Remove the screws (69) and the cover (70).
(c) Remove the quick-release pins (65) and disconnect the tie rods (66) from the aircraft structure.
(4) Remove the lower attachments:
WARNING:
SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Remove the screws (77), the washers (76), the wheel guides (75) and the fillers (74). (b) Remove the screws (59) and the covers (58).
(c) Remove the screws (72), the seal plates (71) and the seal (73).
(d) Remove the bolts (53) and the washers (54).
(e) If installed, remove the washers (55).
(f) Remove the inner eccentric bushes (56) and the outer eccentric bushes (57).
(g) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(h) Carefully lift the galley and move it to the centerline of the aircraft.
(i) Remove the washers (63) and the rings (62).
(j) Remove and discard the packings (61).
(k) Remove the bushes (60).
(l) Remove the adhesive tape from the installation points of the bushes (60) (Ref. AMM D/O 51-22-00-00).
B. Galley Disassembly
(1) For the disassembly of the galley,CMM 2535080 .
Subtask 25-33-42-020-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) For the disassembly of the galley,
C. Removal of the Pelmet
(1) Pull the pelmet (1) up and disengage the quick connectors (2).
(2) Hold the pelmet (1) in position.
(3) Remove the screw (3) and the washers (4) and (6), then disconnect the bonding strap (5).
(4) Remove the screw (9), washer (4), clamp (8) and spacer (7).
(5) Safety the bonding strap (5) to the pelmet (1).
(6) Remove the pelmet (1).
Subtask 25-33-42-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Pull the pelmet (1) up and disengage the quick connectors (2).
(2) Hold the pelmet (1) in position.
(3) Remove the screw (3) and the washers (4) and (6), then disconnect the bonding strap (5).
(4) Remove the screw (9), washer (4), clamp (8) and spacer (7).
(5) Safety the bonding strap (5) to the pelmet (1).
(6) Remove the pelmet (1).
D. Removal of the Electrical Connections
(2) Loosen the screws (7) and remove the cover (8).
(3) Disconnect the electrical wires (5) as follows:
(b) Remove the nuts (10), spacer (14) and clamps (9).
(c) Remove the screws (13), washers (12) and clamps (11).
(d) Safety the electrical wires (5) to the galley.
(4) Disconnect the bonding straps (3) as follows:
(b) Safety the bonding straps (3) to the galley.
Subtask 25-33-42-020-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Cut and discard the lockwires from the screws (7). (2) Loosen the screws (7) and remove the cover (8).
(3) Disconnect the electrical wires (5) as follows:
CAUTION:
MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM.
IF YOU MAKE AN ERROR WHEN YOU CONNECT THE WIRES YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Remove the nuts (6) and disconnect the electrical wires (5). (b) Remove the nuts (10), spacer (14) and clamps (9).
(c) Remove the screws (13), washers (12) and clamps (11).
(d) Safety the electrical wires (5) to the galley.
(4) Disconnect the bonding straps (3) as follows:
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
(a) Remove the nuts (4), screws (1) and washers (2) and disconnect the bonding straps (3). (b) Safety the bonding straps (3) to the galley.
E. Removal of the Access Panel
(1) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the access panel (1).
Subtask 25-33-42-020-053-I ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the access panel (1).
F. Removal of the Electrical Connections
(2) Loosen the screws (8) and remove the cover (9).
(3) Disconnect the electrical wires (6) as follows:
(4) Remove the nuts (11) and the clamps (10).
(5) Remove the nut (11), the clamps (10) and the spacer (16).
(6) Remove the screws (15), the washers (13) and (14) and the clamps (10) and (12).
(7) Safety the electrical wires (6) to the galley.
(8) Disconnect the bonding straps (3) as follows:
(b) Safety the bonding straps (3) to the galley.
Subtask 25-33-42-020-054-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Cut and discard the lockwire from the screws (8). (2) Loosen the screws (8) and remove the cover (9).
(3) Disconnect the electrical wires (6) as follows:
CAUTION:
MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM.
IF YOU MAKE AN ERROR WHEN YOU CONNECT THE WIRES YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Remove the nuts (7) and the spacers (5), then disconnect the electrical wires (6). (4) Remove the nuts (11) and the clamps (10).
(5) Remove the nut (11), the clamps (10) and the spacer (16).
(6) Remove the screws (15), the washers (13) and (14) and the clamps (10) and (12).
(7) Safety the electrical wires (6) to the galley.
(8) Disconnect the bonding straps (3) as follows:
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
(a) Remove the nuts (4), the screws (1) and the washers (2), then disconnect the bonding straps (3).(b) Safety the bonding straps (3) to the galley.
G. Removal of the Access Panel
(1) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(2) Remove the kickstrip (8).
(3) If the filler (7) is damaged or loose, remove it.
(4) Remove the screws (5), the seal plate (4) and the seal (6).
(5) Remove the screws (1) and (2) and the access panel (3).
Subtask 25-33-42-020-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(2) Remove the kickstrip (8).
(3) If the filler (7) is damaged or loose, remove it.
(4) Remove the screws (5), the seal plate (4) and the seal (6).
(5) Remove the screws (1) and (2) and the access panel (3).
H. Removal of the Air Connections
(1) Loosen the clamp (5) and disconnect the fresh-air hose (4) from the pipe (6).
(2) Loosen the clamps (2) and disconnect the exhaust-air hose (1) from the pipe (3).
(3) Remove the clamps (2) and (5).
(4) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
Subtask 25-33-42-020-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Loosen the clamp (5) and disconnect the fresh-air hose (4) from the pipe (6).
(2) Loosen the clamps (2) and disconnect the exhaust-air hose (1) from the pipe (3).
(3) Remove the clamps (2) and (5).
(4) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
I. Removal of the Water Connections
(2) Loosen the nut (3) and disconnect the potable water hose (2) from the fitting (4).
(3) Push the insulation (5) up.
(4) Loosen the clamp (7) and disconnect the waste water hose (6) from the pipe (8).
(5) Remove the clamp (7).
(6) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
Subtask 25-33-42-020-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED. A PRESSURIZED SYSTEM CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS WHEN THEY DO WORK ON IT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT YOU USE FOR THIS PROCEDURE IS CLEAN AND APPROVED FOR THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. IF NOT IT CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM.
WARNING:
DO NOT DO WORK ON THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME.
THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING:
ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
(1) Push the insulation (1) up. - ON THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM, OR
- ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM.
(2) Loosen the nut (3) and disconnect the potable water hose (2) from the fitting (4).
(3) Push the insulation (5) up.
(4) Loosen the clamp (7) and disconnect the waste water hose (6) from the pipe (8).
(5) Remove the clamp (7).
(6) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
J. Removal of the Upper Attachments
(1) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the cover (1).
(2) Remove the screw (7) and the washers (8) and (9), then disconnect the bonding strap (10).
(3) Safety the bonding strap (10) to the bracket (11).
(4) Remove the quick-release pins (6) and disconnect the tie-rods (3) and (4) from the aircraft structure.
(5) Remove the quick-release pins (6), the tie-rods (3) and (4) and the bracket (11).
Subtask 25-33-42-020-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Release the fasteners (2) and remove the cover (1).
(2) Remove the screw (7) and the washers (8) and (9), then disconnect the bonding strap (10).
(3) Safety the bonding strap (10) to the bracket (11).
(4) Remove the quick-release pins (6) and disconnect the tie-rods (3) and (4) from the aircraft structure.
(5) Remove the quick-release pins (6), the tie-rods (3) and (4) and the bracket (11).
K. Removal of the Wheel Guides and the Kick Strips
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the screw (8) and the washer (9).
(4) Remove the kick strips (10), (3) and (2).
(5) Remove the screws (7), washers (6) and wheel guides (5).
(6) If the fillers (4) and (1) are damaged or loose, remove them.
Subtask 25-33-42-020-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the screw (8) and the washer (9).
(4) Remove the kick strips (10), (3) and (2).
(5) Remove the screws (7), washers (6) and wheel guides (5).
(6) If the fillers (4) and (1) are damaged or loose, remove them.
L. Removal of the Floor Seal and the Covers
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the screws (10) and (9), covers (8) and fillers (7).
(4) Remove the screws (6) and the covers (5).
(5) Remove the screws (2) and (3), seal plates (1) and seal (4).
Subtask 25-33-42-020-062-M ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the screws (10) and (9), covers (8) and fillers (7).
(4) Remove the screws (6) and the covers (5).
(5) Remove the screws (2) and (3), seal plates (1) and seal (4).
M. Removal of the Wheel Guides and the Kickstrips
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the kickstrip (1).
(4) Remove the screw (6), the washer (7) and the kickstrip (8).
(5) Remove the screws (5), the washers (4) and the wheel guides (3).
(6) If the fillers (2) are damaged or loose, remove them.
Subtask 25-33-42-020-063-H ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the kickstrip (1).
(4) Remove the screw (6), the washer (7) and the kickstrip (8).
(5) Remove the screws (5), the washers (4) and the wheel guides (3).
(6) If the fillers (2) are damaged or loose, remove them.
N. Removal of the Floor Seal and the Covers
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the screws (5) and (7) and the covers (4) and (6).
(4) Remove the screws (2), the seal plates (1) and the seal (3).
Subtask 25-33-42-020-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(3) Remove the screws (5) and (7) and the covers (4) and (6).
(4) Remove the screws (2), the seal plates (1) and the seal (3).
O. Removal of the Lower Attachments
(2) If the washers (3) are installed, remove them.
(3) Remove the inner eccentric bushings (4) and the outer eccentric bushings (5).
(4) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Carefully lift the galley and move it to the centerline of the aircraft.
(6) Remove the washers (7) and the rings (8).
(7) Remove and discard the packings (9).
(8) Remove the bushes (10).
(9) Remove the adhesive tape from the installation points of the bushes (10) (Ref. AMM D/O 51-22-00-00).
Subtask 25-33-42-020-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Remove the bolts (1) and the washers (2). (2) If the washers (3) are installed, remove them.
(3) Remove the inner eccentric bushings (4) and the outer eccentric bushings (5).
(4) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Carefully lift the galley and move it to the centerline of the aircraft.
(6) Remove the washers (7) and the rings (8).
(7) Remove and discard the packings (9).
(8) Remove the bushes (10).
(9) Remove the adhesive tape from the installation points of the bushes (10) (Ref. AMM D/O 51-22-00-00).
