A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that all the galley compartments are empty and all galley equipment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-00-010-001) is removed.
   (3) If installed, make sure that the curtain and the curtain rail are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-001).
   (4) Make sure that the ceiling panels and the door frame linings in the area of the galley are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that all applicable doors are open to let you get access to all the parts that you must install/connect.
   (3) If necessary, remove the contents of the galley.
   (4) Make sure that all the items of non-electrical equipment are removed from the galley.
   (5) Make sure that the curtain(s) and the curtain rail(s) are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-001).
   (6) Make sure that the ceiling panels and the door frame linings in the area of the galley are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002).
   (7) If necessary, remove the forward utility-area ceiling-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-001).

   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do a visual inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
4. Procedure
Subtask 25-31-44-420-051-CI ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Galley Unit
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (1) Unless specified, TORQUE all nuts, bolts and screws. (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-11-911-001)
   (2) Install the lower attachments:
WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Put the floor fitting (68) and the washers (69) in position and install the screws (70).
     (b) TORQUE the screws (70) to between 0.169 and 0.136 m.daN (14.96 and 12.04 lbf.in ) T.
     (c) Install the adhesive tape on the installation points of the bushes (52) (
Ref. AMM D/O 51-22-00-40).
     (d) Apply the Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) to the bushes (52) and put them in position.
     (e) Install the new AIPC 25-31-01-10-030 PACKINGS (51).
     (f) Put the rings (50) and the washers (49) in position.
     (g) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (h) Carefully put the galley in position.
     (i) Turn the bushes (48) clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the vertical position of the galley.
     (j) Put the outer eccentric bushes (47) and the inner eccentric bushes (46) in position.
     (k) If necessary, put the washers (45) in position.
     (l) Put the washers (44) in position and install the bolts (43).
     (m) TORQUE the bolts (43) to between 4.068 and 2.486 m.daN (30.00 and 18.33 lbf.ft )
T.
     (n) Put the seal (62) and the seal plates (61) in position and install the screws (60).
     (o) Apply Double Sided Adhesive Tape-- Foam Base - (Material No.
05PAC1) to the kickstrip (67) and install it.
     (p) Put the fillers (55) and the covers (54) in position and install the screws (53).
     (q) Apply Double Sided Adhesive Tape-- Foam Base - (Material No.05PAC1) to the fillers (66) and install them.
     (r) Put the wheel guides (63) and the washers (64) in position and install the screws (65).
   (3) Install the upper attachments:
     (a) Put the tie rods (57) in their correct position on the aircraft structure and install the quick-release pins (56).
     (b) If necessary, adjust the tie rods (57):
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
       1 Remove and discard the lockwire from the locknuts (59).
       2 Loosen the locknuts (59).
       3 Hold the tie rod end that is not installed.
       4 Turn the tie rod barrel (58) until you can install the quick-release pins (56) easily.
       5 Tighten the locknuts (59).
       6 Do a check of the tie rod (57) for correct installation:
  • Put short pieces of the lockwire stainless steel annealed 0.8mm DIA, 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -, into the safety hole at the tie rods end.
  • Make sure that the lockwire does not go through the safety holes.
  • If it does, install a new tie rod.
       7 Safety the locknuts (59) with the lockwire stainless steel annealed 0.8mm DIA, 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -
     (c) Put the cover (71) in position and install the screws (72).
     (d) Close the door (42).
   (4) Connect the electrical connections:
     (a) Put the bonding straps (3) and the washers (2) in position and install the bolts (1) and the nuts (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (b) Put the pelmet (40) in position and lock the fasteners (41).
   (5) If removed, install all the decorative material.

B. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).

   (1) You can find the detailed splitline procedure for this assembly in the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM). To find the CMM reference, you can use the applicable P/N in the IPC. You can use the FIN in the task title to find the applicable P/N.

D. Installation of the Lower Attachments

   (1) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the threads of the screws (11).
   (2) Put the floor fitting (13) in position and install the washers (12) and the screws (11).
   (3) TORQUE the screws (11) to between 0.29 and 0.23 m.daN (25.66 and 20.35 lbf.in ) T.
   (4) Install the adhesive tape on the installation points of the bushes (10) (
Ref. AMM D/O 51-22-00-40).
   (5) Put the bushes (10) in position.
   (6) Install new AIPC 25-31-81-10-020 PACKINGS (9).
   (7) Put the rings (8) and the washers (7) in position.
   (8) Carefully put the galley in position.
   (9) Make sure that you first attach the galley to the initial attachment points.
   (10) Turn the bushes (6) clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the vertical position of the galley.
   (11) Put the outer eccentric bushes (5) and the inner eccentric bushes (4) in position.
   (12) If necessary, put the washers (3) in position.
   (13) Apply Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.
03GBC1) to the bolts (1).
   (14) Install the washers (2) and the bolts (1).
   (15) TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 3.00 and 2.49 m.daN (22.12 and 18.36 lbf.ft ) T.

D. Installation of the Lower Attachments

   (1) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the threads of the screws (11).
   (2) Put the floor fitting (13) in position, then install the washers (12) and the screws (11).
   (3) TORQUE the screws (11) to between 0.40 and 0.34 m.daN (35.40 and 30.09 lbf.in ) T.
   (4) Install the adhesive tape on the installation points of the bushes (10) (
Ref. AMM D/O 51-22-00-40).
   (5) Put the bushes (10) in position and install the new AIPC 25-31-81-05-030 PACKINGS (9).
   (6) Put the rings (8) and the washers (7) in position.
   (7) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (8) Carefully put the galley in position.
   (9) Make sure that you first attach the galley to the initial attachment points.
   (10) Turn the bushes (6) clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the vertical position of the galley.
   (11) Put the outer eccentric bushings (5) and the inner eccentric bushings (4) in position.
   (12) If the washers (3) are removed, install them.
   (13) Apply Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.
03GBC1) to the threads of the bolts (1).
   (14) Install the washers (2) and the bolts (1).
   (15) TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 3.00 and 2.49 m.daN (22.12 and 18.36 lbf.ft ) T.

E. Installation of the Floor Seal(s) and the Covers

   (1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
   (2) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the threads of the screws (1) and (4).
   (3) Put the seal(s) (3) and the seal plates (2) in position, then install the screws (1) and (4).
   (4) TORQUE the screws (1) and (4) to between 0.17 and 0.14 m.daN (15.04 and 12.39 lbf.in ) T.
   (5) Clean the seal plates (2), the heads of the screws (1) and (4) and the adjacent area.
   (6) Apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.
06CMD9) to the heads of the screws (1) and (4) and the seal plates (2).
   (7) Seal the galley/floor interfaces:
     (a) Apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) to the seal(s) (3) and the floor interfaces.
   (8) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the threads of the screws (9).
   (9) Put the fillers (7) and the covers (8) in position, then install the screws (9).
   (10) TORQUE the screws (9) to between 0.17 and 0.14 m.daN (15.04 and 12.39 lbf.in ) T.
   (11) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.
05BAE1) to the threads of the screws (6).
   (12) Put the covers (5) in position and install the screws (6).
   (13) TORQUE the screws (6) to between 0.17 and 0.14 m.daN (15.04 and 12.39 lbf.in ) T.
   (14) Clean the covers (5) and (8), the heads of the screws (6) and (9) and the adjacent area.
   (15) Apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.
06CMD9) to the heads of the screws (6) and (9) and the covers (5) and (8).

F. Installation of the Wheel Guides and the Kickstrips

   (1) When you connect/install the components, refer to the match marks made during the removal procedure.
   (2) If the fillers (1) are removed, apply Double Sided Adhesive Tape-- Foam Base - (Material No.05PAC1) to the fillers (1) and install them.
   (3) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the threads of the screws (4).
   (4) Put the wheel guides (2) in position and install the washers (3) and the screws (4).
   (5) TORQUE the screws (4) to between 0.17 and 0.14 m.daN (15.04 and 12.39 lbf.in ) T.
   (6) Clean the wheel guides (2), the heads of the screws (4) and adjacent area.
   (7) Apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.
06CMD9) to the heads of the screws (4) and the wheel guides (2).
   (8) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the threads of the screws (7) and (8).
   (9) Apply Double Sided Adhesive Tape-- Foam Base - (Material No.05PAC1) to the kickstrip (5) and put it in position.
   (10) Install the washer (6) and the screw (7).
   (11) Put the kickstrip (10) in position and install the washers (9) and the screws (8).
   (12) TORQUE the screws (7) and (8) to between 0.17 and 0.14 m.daN (15.04 and 12.39 lbf.in ) T.
   (13) Clean the kickstrips (5) and (10), the heads of the screws (7) and (8) and adjacent area.
   (14) Apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.
06CMD9) to the heads of the screws (7) and (8) and the kickstrips (5) and (10).
   (15) Apply Double Sided Adhesive Tape-- Foam Base - (Material No.05PAC1) to the kickstrips (11) and install it.

   (6) Clean the wheel guides (2), the heads of the screws (4) and the adjacent area.
   (7) Apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.
06CMD9) to the heads of the screws (4) and the wheel guides (2).
   (8) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the threads of the screws (6) and (4).
   (9) Apply Double Sided Adhesive Tape-- Foam Base - (Material No.05PAC1) to the kickstrip (5) and put it in position.
   (10) Install the washer (3) and the screw (6).
   (11) Put the kickstrip (7) in position, then install the washers (3) and the screws (4).
   (12) TORQUE the screws (6) and (4) to between 0.17 and 0.14 m.daN (15.04 and 12.39 lbf.in ) T.
   (13) Clean the kickstrips (5) and (7), the heads of the screws (6) and (4) and the adjacent area.
   (14) Apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.
06CMD9) to the heads of the screws (6) and (4) and the kickstrips (5) and (7).
   (15) Apply Double Sided Adhesive Tape-- Foam Base - (Material No.05PAC1) to the kickstrips (9) and (8) and install them.
   (16) Clean the kickstrips (9) and (8) and the adjacent area.
   (17) Apply Silicone Adhesive Sealant-General Purpose One part legacy (Material No.06CMD9) to the kickstrips (9) and (8).

G. Installation of the Upper Attachments

   (1) Put the tie-rods (5) and (6) in position on the brackets (7) and the aircraft structure, then install the quick-release pins (3).
   (2) If necessary, adjust the tie-rods (5) and (6) as follows:
     (a) Hold the tie-rod ends (4) that are not installed.
     (b) Turn the tie-rods (5) and (6) clockwise or counterclockwise until you can install the quick-release pins (3) easily.
     (c) Make sure that the tie-rods (5) and (6) are in the locked position.
   (3) Put the cover (1) in position and engage the fasteners (2).

H. Installation of the Electrical Connections

   (1) Release the bonding straps (1) from the galley.
   (2) Connect the bonding straps (1) as follows:
     (a) Connect the bonding straps (1), then install the washers (2), the screws (3) and the nuts (4).
     (b) Tighten the screws (3).
     (c) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

L. Installation of the Components after the Test Procedure

   (1) Release the bonding strap (5) from the pelmet (1).
   (2) Hold the pelmet (1) in position.
   (3) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the thread of the screw (9).
   (4) Put the spacer (7) and the clamp (8) in position, then install the washer (4) and the screw (9).
   (5) TORQUE the screw (9) to between 0.40 and 0.34 m.daN (35.40 and 30.09 lbf.in ) T.

   (7) TORQUE the screw (3) to between 0.40 and 0.34 m.daN (35.40 and 30.09 lbf.in )

   (8) Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)

   (9) Push the pelmet (1) down and engage the fasteners (2).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the galley equipment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-00-410-001).
   (3) Install the ceiling panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-400-001) and the door frame linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-007) in the area of the galley.
   (4) If removed, install the curtain rail and the curtain (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-400-001).
   (5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
Subtask 25-31-44-410-050-AR ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Install all the items of non-electrical equipment in the galley.
   (2) If the contents of the galley are removed, install them.
   (3) Close all doors.
   (4) If the forward utility-area ceiling-panels are removed, install them (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-400-001).
   (5) Install the ceiling panels and the door frame linings in the area of the galley (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-400-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-400-007).
   (6) If the curtain rail(s) and the curtain(s) are removed, install them (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-400-001).
   (7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (8) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
