   (1) Depressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
   (2) Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).

E. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the overhead panel, on AIR COND panel 30VU:
     (a) Make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:
  • APU BLEED pushbutton switch (the ON legend is off)
  • All the ENG BLEED pushbutton switches (the OFF legends are on)
  • PACK 1 and PACK 2 pushbutton switches (the OFF legends are on).
     (b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate these pushbutton switches.
   (2) On the HP and LP ground-air connectors:
     (a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to connect the ground air supply.
   (3) On the water service panel:
     (a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to do the servicing of the potable water system.

E. Safety Precautions
   (1) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel, on the AIR COND section of panel 30VU:
     (a) Make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:

F. Get Access
   (1) Open all applicable doors to get access to the parts that you must remove/disconnect.
   (2) If necessary, remove the contents of the galley.
   (3) Remove all the items of non-electrical equipment from the galley.
   (4) Remove the items of equipment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-00-010-001).
   (5) If the curtain(s) and the curtain rail(s) are installed, remove them (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-001).
   (6) Remove the ceiling panels and the door frame linings in the area of the galley (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002).
   (7) If necessary, remove the forward utility-area ceiling-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-001).
   (8) Remove the cockpit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-11-000-001).
   (9) If a cockpit door camera is installed, remove the hinge-mount fitting (Ref. AMM TASK 53-16-11-000-001).

F. Get Access
   (1) Remove the contents which are kept in the galley, if necessary.
   (2) Remove the galley equipment.
     (a) Remove the ovens, if installed, (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-19-000-001).
     (b) Remove the coffee maker, if installed (Ref. AMM D/O 25-35-15-00).
     (c) Remove the water boiler, if installed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-27-000-001).
     (d) Remove the air chiller, if installed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-34-51-000-001).
     (e) Remove the galley trolleys.
   (3) Remove the curtain and curtain rail, if installed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-001).
   (4) Remove the ceiling panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001) and the door frame linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002) in the area of the galley.
   (5) Remove the cockpit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-11-000-001).

F. Get Access
   (1) Remove the contents which are kept in the galley, if necessary.
   (2) Remove the galley equipment (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-00-010-001).
   (3) Remove the curtain and curtain rail, if installed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-001).
   (4) Remove the ceiling panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001) and the door frame linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002) in the area of the galley.
   (5) Remove the cockpit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-11-000-001).
   (6) If a cockpit door camera is installed, remove the hinge-mount fitting (Ref. AMM TASK 53-16-11-000-001).

F. Get Access
   (1) Open all applicable doors to get access to the parts that you must remove/disconnect.
   (2) If necessary, remove the contents of the galley.

   (4) Remove these items of equipment:
     (a) Remove the oven(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-19-000-001).
     (b) Remove the water boiler(s)/heater(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-27-000-001).
     (c) Remove the beverage maker(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-21-000-001).
     (d) Remove the galley control panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-35-34-000-001).
   (5) If the curtain(s) and the curtain rail(s) are installed, remove them (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-001).
   (6) Remove the ceiling panels and the door frame linings in the area of the galley (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002).
   (7) If necessary, remove the forward utility-area ceiling-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-001).
   (8) Remove the cockpit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-51-11-000-001).
   (9) If a cockpit door camera is installed, remove the hinge-mount fitting (Ref. AMM TASK 53-16-11-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 25-31-42-020-050-AG ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Galley Unit
   (1) Remove all the decorative material, if necessary.
   (2) Disconnect the Electrical Connections
     (a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the screws (5).
     (b) Loosen the screws (5) and remove the cover (4).
     (c) Remove the wires.
CAUTION: MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. IF YOU MAKE AN ERROR WHEN YOU CONNECT THE WIRES YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
       1 Remove the nuts (6) and the wires (7).
     (d) Remove the bolt (8), the washer (9) and the clamps (11) and (10).
     (e) Remove the nut (12), the bolt (15), the washer (14) and the bonding strap (13).
     (f) Remove the nuts (2) and the clamps (1) and (3).
   (3) Disconnect the Galley Supply Connections
     (a) Loosen the clamps (22) and disconnect the exhaust air hose (23) from the pipe (21).
     (b) Loosen the clamp (25) and disconnect the fresh air pipe (24) from the pipe (26).
     (c) Open the door (20).
     (d) Loosen the clamps (31) and disconnect the waste water hose (32) from the pipe (30).
     (e) Loosen the nut (28) and disconnect the potable water pipe (27) from the fitting (29).
     (f) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (4) Remove the Upper Attachments
F Attachment of the Galley - G1 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Remove the quick-release pins (40) and disconnect the tie rods (42) from the A/C structure.
   (5) Remove the Lower Attachments
F Attachment of the Galley - G1 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Remove the screws (50) and the covers (49).
     (b) Remove the bolts (43), the washers (44) and the plates (45).
     (c) Remove the shims (46).
     (d) Identify the number and position of the shims (46) for the installation.
     (e) Remove the bushings (47) and (48).
     (f) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (g) Carefully lift the galley and move it to the center of the cabin.
Subtask 25-31-42-020-051-AF ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Disconnect the Galley Splitline
NOTE: This procedure is only necessary if you must remove the galley from the aircraft.
   (1) Disconnect the Galley Supply Splitlines
F Splitline - Supply Connections G1 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Disconnect the control cable (60) from the ring (61).
     (b) Loosen the clamp (63) and disconnect the pipe (64) from the sink (62).
     (c) Loosen the clamps (66) and disconnect the elbows (65) from the pipes (67).
     (d) Disconnect all the remaining splitline supply connections as necessary.
     (e) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (2) Disconnect the Galley at the Splitline
NOTE: The splitline screws and bolts are painted red.
     (a) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (b) Remove the screws (72) and the pelmet (70).
     (c) Remove the screw (73), the washers (75) and the screws (74).
     (d) Remove the screws (77) and the washers (76).
     (e) Remove the screws (90), the covers (89) and the screws (91).
     (f) Remove the screws (87), the covers (86), the screws (88) and the special nuts (85).
     (g) Carefully disconnect the galley module (71) from the galley module (78).
     (h) Remove the screws (81) and (83), the washers (84) and the support strut (82).
     (i) Remove the screw (79).
     (j) Remove the remaining screws (87), covers (86), screws (88) and special nuts (85).
     (k) Remove all the remaining splitline screws as necessary.
     (l) Carefully disconnect the galley module (78) from the galley module (80).
   (3) Remove the floor fittings

     (a) Remove the plates (56), the bolts (55), the washers (54) and the floor fittings (53).
     (b) Remove and discard the packings (52).
     (c) Remove the bushings (51).
Subtask 25-31-42-020-050-AI ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Removal of the Galley Unit
   (1) Remove all the decorative material, if necessary.
   (2) Disconnect the Electrical Connections
     (a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the screws (5).
     (b) Loosen the screws (5) and remove the cover (4).
     (c) Remove the wires.
CAUTION: MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. IF YOU MAKE AN ERROR WHEN YOU CONNECT THE WIRES YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
       1 Remove the nuts (6) and the wires (7).
     (d) Remove the bolt (8), the washer (9) and the clamps (11) and (10).
     (e) Remove the nut (12), the bolt (15), the washer (14) and the bonding strap (13).
     (f) Remove the nuts (2) and the clamps (1) and (3).
   (3) Disconnect the Galley Supply Connections
     (a) Loosen the clamps (24) and disconnect the exhaust air hose (23) from the pipe (25).
     (b) Loosen the clamp (27) and disconnect the fresh air pipe (26) from the pipe (28).
     (c) Loosen the clamps (33) and disconnect the waste water hose (34) from the pipe (32).
     (d) Loosen the nut (30) and disconnect the potable water pipe (29) from the fitting (31).
     (e) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (4) Remove the Upper Attachments
F Attachment of the Galley - G1 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Remove the quick-release pins (40) and disconnect the tie rods (42) from the A/C structure.
   (5) Remove the Lower Attachments

WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Remove the screws (43), the washers (44) and the wheel guides (45).
     (b) Remove the screws (52) and the covers (51).
     (c) Remove the bolts (46), the washers (47) and the plates (48).
     (d) Remove the bushings (49) and (50).
     (e) Remove the bolt (59), the washer (60) and the spacer (61).
     (f) Remove the bushings (62) and (63).
     (g) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (h) Carefully lift the galley and move it to the center of the cabin.
Subtask 25-31-42-020-051-AH ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
D. Disconnect the Galley Splitline
NOTE: This procedure is only necessary if you must remove the galley from the aircraft.
   (1) Disconnect the Galley Supply Splitlines
F Splitline - Supply Connections G1 ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
     (a) Disconnect the control cable (70) from the ring (71).
     (b) Loosen the clamp (73) and disconnect the pipe (74) from the sink (72).
     (c) Loosen the nut (76) and disconnect the pipe (75) from the fitting (77).
     (d) Disconnect all the remaining splitline supply connections as necessary.
     (e) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (2) Disconnect the Galley at the Splitline
NOTE: The splitline screws and bolts are painted red.
     (a) Prevent damage to the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (b) Remove the screws (82) and the pelmet (80).
     (c) Remove the screws (83) and (84).
     (d) Remove the screws (90), the covers (89), the screws (91) and the special nuts (88).
     (e) Remove the screws (93), the covers (92) and the screws (94)
     (f) Carefully disconnect the galley module (81) from the galley module (85).
     (g) Remove the screw (86).
     (h) Remove the remaining screws (90), covers (89), screws (91) and special nuts (88).
     (i) Remove all the remaining splitline screws as necessary.
     (j) Carefully disconnect the galley module (85) from the galley module (87).
   (3) Remove the floor fittings

     (a) Remove the plates (58), the bolts (57), the washers (56) and the floor fittings (55).
     (b) Remove and discard the packings (54).
     (c) Remove the bushings (53).
     (d) Remove the bushing (64), the bolt (65), the washer (66) and the bushing (67).
     (e) Remove and discard the packing (68).
Subtask 25-31-42-020-050-CV ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
E. Removal of the Forward Galley Unit G1
   (1) Remove all the decorative material, if necessary.
   (2) Disconnect the electrical connections:
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the screws (5).
     (b) Loosen the screws (5) and remove the cover (4).
     (c) Disconnect the electrical wires:
CAUTION: MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. IF YOU MAKE AN ERROR WHEN YOU CONNECT THE WIRES YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
       1 Remove the nuts (6) and disconnect the electrical wires (7).
     (d) Remove the locknuts (3), the washers (2) and the clamps (1).
     (e) Remove the bolt (10), the washer (9) and the clamps (8).
     (f) Disconnect the bonding straps:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
       1 Remove the nuts (11), the bolts (12), the washers (13) and disconnect the bonding straps (14).
   (3) Disconnect the potable water connections:
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED. A PRESSURIZED SYSTEM CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS WHEN THEY DO WORK ON IT.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT YOU USE FOR THIS PROCEDURE IS CLEAN AND APPROVED FOR THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. IF NOT IT CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM.
WARNING: DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
     (a) Open the door (22).
     (b) Remove the screws (24) and the access cover (23).
     (c) Loosen the nut (37) and disconnect the potable water pipe (38) from the fitting (36).
     (d) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (4) Disconnect the waste water connections:
     (a) Loosen the clamps (34) and disconnect the waste water hose (33) from the pipe (35).
     (b) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (5) Disconnect the ventilation connections:
     (a) Remove the screws (21) and (25) and the pelmets (20) and (26).
     (b) Loosen the clamp (28) and disconnect the fresh air hose (27) from the pipe (29).
     (c) Loosen the clamps (31) and disconnect the exhaust air hose (32) from the pipe (30).
     (d) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (6) Remove the upper and the lower attachments:
     (a) Remove the quick-release pins (44) and disconnect the tie rods (43) from the A/C structure.
WARNING: SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT SUPPORT IT, IT WILL FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS, AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (b) Remove the screws (68) and the wheel guides (69).

F. Disconnection of the Galley Splitline
NOTE: This procedure is only necessary if you must remove the galley from the aircraft.
   (1) Disconnect the splitline electrical connections:

     (b) Disconnect the electrical plugs (84) and (87) from the electrical receptacles (85) and (86).

     (a) Remove the screws (96), the clamps (97) and the spacers (98).
     (b) Loosen the nut (91) and disconnect the pipe (92) from the T-fitting (90).

     (d) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (3) Disconnect the waste water connections:

   (1) If necessary, remove all the decorative material.
   (2) Disconnect the electrical connections:

     (a) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
     (b) Release the quick connectors (51) and hold the pelmets (50) in position.
     (c) Remove the bolt (56) and the washers (53) and (59) and disconnect the bonding straps (57) and (58).
     (d) Remove the bolts (52), washers (53), clamps (54) and spacers (55).
     (e) Remove the pelmets (50).
     (f) Safety the bonding straps (57) and (58) to the related pelmets (50).
     (g) Remove and discard the lockwire from the screws (5).
     (h) Loosen the screws (5) and remove the cover (4).
     (i) Disconnect the electrical wires:
CAUTION: MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. IF YOU MAKE AN ERROR WHEN YOU CONNECT THE WIRES YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
       1 Remove the nuts (6) and disconnect the electrical wires (7).
     (j) Remove the nuts (2), the washer (3) and the clamps (1).
     (k) Remove the bolt (9) and the clamps (8).
     (l) Safety the electrical wires (7) to the galley.
     (m) Disconnect the bonding straps:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
       1 Remove the nuts (14), the bolts (11) and the washers (12) and disconnect the bonding straps (13).
       2 Safety the bonding straps (13) to the galley.
   (3) Disconnect the galley supply connections:

  • ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM.
WHEN YOU COMPLETE THE WORK PROCEDURE, CLEAN YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER. THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION (WASTE WATER IS DANGEROUS FOR HEALTH).
     (a) Remove the remaining sealant with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
     (b) Remove the kickstrips (41) and (42).
     (c) Remove the screws (37), the seal plate (36) and the seal (38).
     (d) Remove the kickstrip (35).
     (e) Release the fasteners (20) and remove the cover (21).
     (f) Push the insulation (40) up.
     (g) Loosen the clamp (39) and push the protective hose (34) up.
     (h) Loosen the nut (32) and disconnect the potable water hose (33) from the fitting (31).
     (i) Push the insulation (28) up.
     (j) Loosen the clamp (43) and disconnect the waste water hose (29) from the pipe (30).
     (k) Loosen the clamp (22) and disconnect the fresh-air hose (24) from the pipe (23).
     (l) Loosen the clamps (26) and disconnect the exhaust-air hose (25) from the pipe (27).
     (m) Remove the clamps (22), (26) and (43).
     (n) Put a PLUG - BLANKING in the disconnected line ends.
   (4) Remove the upper attachments:

     (a) Release the fasteners (69) and remove the cover (79).
     (b) Remove the bolt (100) and the washers (53) and (59) and disconnect the bonding strap (60).

     (e) Remove the quick-release pins (94), the tie rods (83) and the bracket (95).

     (e) If the fillers (88) are damaged or loose, remove them.
     (f) Remove the screws (92) and the block assembly (93).
     (g) Remove the screws (77) and the covers (78).
     (h) Remove the screws (64) and the bumpers (63).
     (i) Remove the screws (99) and the cover (98).
     (j) Remove the screws (85), the seal plates (86) and the seal (87).
     (k) Remove the bolt (61) and the washer (62).

     (m) If installed, remove the washers (71).
