B. Get Access
(1) Put ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position adjacent to the FWD or AFT cargo compartment door as required.
(2) FOR [4DS] (CTL UNIT-DOOR AREA HEATING)
(a) Open the FWD cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Set the FWD CARGO COMPT light switch 6LU to ON.
(c) Remove the sidewall panel 132JW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
(3) FOR [14DS] (CTL UNIT-DOOR AREA HEATING)
(a) Open the AFT cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Set the AFT CARGO COMPT light switch 8LU to ON.
(c) Remove the sidewall panel 152FW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
Subtask 25-27-34-010-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position adjacent to the FWD or AFT cargo compartment door as required.
(2) FOR [4DS] (CTL UNIT-DOOR AREA HEATING)
(a) Open the FWD cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Set the FWD CARGO COMPT light switch 6LU to ON.
(c) Remove the sidewall panel 132JW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-003).
(3) FOR [14DS] (CTL UNIT-DOOR AREA HEATING)
(a) Open the AFT cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(b) Set the AFT CARGO COMPT light switch 8LU to ON.
(c) Remove the sidewall panel 152FW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
B. Get Access
(1) Put ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position adjacent to the aft cargo compartment door as required.
(2) Open the aft cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Set the AFT CARGO COMPT light switch 8LU to ON.
(4) Remove the sidewall panel 152FW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
Subtask 25-27-34-865-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position adjacent to the aft cargo compartment door as required.
(2) Open the aft cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Set the AFT CARGO COMPT light switch 8LU to ON.
(4) Remove the sidewall panel 152FW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
C. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Removal of the Control Unit 4DS, 14DS
(1) Release the spring latches (2) and disconnect the electrical connector (1).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) FOR [4DS] (CTL UNIT-DOOR AREA HEATING)
(a) Push the locking catch (10) and carefully slide the control unit (9) out from the adaptor assembly (8).
(4) FOR [14DS] (CTL UNIT-DOOR AREA HEATING)
(a) Support the control unit (4) and remove the screws (6), the washers (7) and the brackets (5).
(b) Remove the control unit (4) from the support structure (3).
Subtask 25-27-34-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Release the spring latches (2) and disconnect the electrical connector (1).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) FOR [4DS] (CTL UNIT-DOOR AREA HEATING)
(a) Push the locking catch (10) and carefully slide the control unit (9) out from the adaptor assembly (8).
(4) FOR [14DS] (CTL UNIT-DOOR AREA HEATING)
(a) Support the control unit (4) and remove the screws (6), the washers (7) and the brackets (5).
(b) Remove the control unit (4) from the support structure (3).
A. Removal of the Control Unit 14DS
(1) Release the spring latches (2) and disconnect the electrical connector (1).
(2) Put a CAP - BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector.
(3) Hold the control unit (7) tightly and remove the screws (6), the washers (5) and the brackets (4).
(4) Remove the control unit (7) from the support structure (3).
(1) Release the spring latches (2) and disconnect the electrical connector (1).
(2) Put a CAP - BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector.
(3) Hold the control unit (7) tightly and remove the screws (6), the washers (5) and the brackets (4).
(4) Remove the control unit (7) from the support structure (3).
