A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

Subtask 25-22-41-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Restraint System - Bench CAS
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Open the seat pan (2) and put some type of weight on it to hold it in the open position.
(3) Remove the backrest cushions (1).
(5) For Model 2131:
(a) Remove the screws (5), the bushings (6) and the inertia reel(s) (7).
(b) Remove the bolts (9), washers (10), restraint system assy (8) and lap belt fittings (11).
(6) For Model 2431:
(a) Remove the screws (18) and the strap beam (20).
(b) Remove the screws (17), the nuts (19) and the inertia reel(s) (16).
(c) Remove the bolts (15), pivot clips (14) with lap belt fittings (12) and restraint system assy (13).

(2) Open the seat pan (2) and put some type of weight on it to hold it in the open position.
(3) Remove the backrest cushions (1).
NOTE: The burr strips attach the cushions to the seat structure.
(4) Remove the screws (4) and the cover (3). (5) For Model 2131:
(a) Remove the screws (5), the bushings (6) and the inertia reel(s) (7).
(b) Remove the bolts (9), washers (10), restraint system assy (8) and lap belt fittings (11).
(6) For Model 2431:
(a) Remove the screws (18) and the strap beam (20).
(b) Remove the screws (17), the nuts (19) and the inertia reel(s) (16).
(c) Remove the bolts (15), pivot clips (14) with lap belt fittings (12) and restraint system assy (13).
B. Removal of the Restraint System
(1) Open the seat pan (5) and put some type of weight on it to hold it in the open position.
(2) Remove the backrest cushions (2).
(4) Remove the screws (4), the washers (3) and the headrest (1).
(5) Remove the bolts (13) and the spacers (12) and release the restraint system assy (8).
(6) Remove the screws (10), the washers (9) and the inertia reel(s) (11).
(7) Remove the screws (6), the strap guides (7) and the restraint system assy (8).
Subtask 25-22-41-020-054-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Open the seat pan (5) and put some type of weight on it to hold it in the open position.
(2) Remove the backrest cushions (2).
NOTE: The burr strips attach the cushions to the seat structure.
(3) If installed, remove the handset/cradle (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-44-000-001). (4) Remove the screws (4), the washers (3) and the headrest (1).
(5) Remove the bolts (13) and the spacers (12) and release the restraint system assy (8).
(6) Remove the screws (10), the washers (9) and the inertia reel(s) (11).
(7) Remove the screws (6), the strap guides (7) and the restraint system assy (8).
B. Removal of the Restraint System
(1) Open the seat pan (2) and put some type of weight on it to hold it in the open position.
(2) Remove the backrest cushions (1).
(4) For Model 2128:
(5) Remove the screws (5), the bushings (6) and the inertia reel(s) (7).
(6) Remove the bolts (9), washers (10), restraint system assy (8) and lap belt fittings (11).
(7) For Model 2428:
(a) Remove the screws (18) and the strap beam (20).
(b) Remove the screws (17), the nuts (19) and the inertia reel(s) (16).
(c) Remove the bolts (12), nuts (14), spacers (15) and restraint system assy (13).
