A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position below the access door 811 of the avionics compartment.
   (2) Make sure that access door 811 is open.

4. Procedure
Subtask 25-11-51-420-051-B
A. Installation of the Seat
   (1) Make sure the seat (1) is in the stowed position before you remove the bolts (7) and the washers (8).
   (2) Remove the bolts (7) and the washers (8).
   (3) Remove the armrest from the seat (1), on the side stick side.
NOTE: This will help you to move the seat (1) to the cockpit.
CAUTION: BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE SEAT FROM THE COCKPIT OR INSTALL IT IN THE COCKPIT, INSTALL THE APPLICABLE PROTECTION ON THE COCKPIT DOOR AND OTHER COCKPIT ITEMS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE COCKPIT DOOR AND COCKPIT ITEMS CAN OCCUR.
   (4) Move the seat to the cockpit.
   (5) Put the seat (1) on the floor.
   (6) Install the washers (4) and the bolts (3) and tighten them.
   (7) Install the armrest on the seat (1).
   (8) Install the bolts (7) and the washers (8).
   (9) TORQUE the bolts (7) to between 0.9 and 0.8 m.daN (79.65 and 70.80 lbf.in ) T.
   (10) Make sure that the paint on the head of the bolts (3) is in the correct condition.
   (11) If the paint is not in the correct condition:
     (a) Remove the remaining paint from the head of the bolts (3).
     (b) Clean the head of the bolts (3) with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.
08BAA9) and the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (c) Paint the head of the bolts (3) with Top Coat Polyurethane-- Decorative Furnishing (Material No.04JMD9) .
   (12) Remove the blanking caps from the connectors (5) and (6).
   (13) Connect the electrical connector (5) to the electrical connector (6).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (1) Do the operational test of the CAPT and F/O seats (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-00-710-001).

E. Operational Test of the Lights of the CAPT and F/O Seats
ACTION
RESULT
1.On panel 301VU (500VU):

  • Put the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch in the BRT position.
  • Below the CAPT/F/O seats, the four lights come on.
  • Put the CONSOLE/FLOOR switch in the OFF position.
  • The same four lights go off.

A. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the life vest is in its compartment.
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Close access door 811.
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
