Subtask 25-11-51-861-054-A
A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Removal of the Components
   (1) Remove the CAPT-(F/O) seat cushion (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-61-000-001).
   (2) Hold the shroud (14) that is installed on the seat panel assembly.
   (3) Remove the screws (10).
   (4) Remove the screws (13) and the washers (12).
   (5) Remove the shroud (14) from the seat panel assembly.
4. Procedure
Subtask 25-11-51-220-052-A
A. Check of the Control Lever Travel (Horizontal and Vertical)
NOTE: This task gives the instructions necessary for the inspection of the control levers on the CAPT seat. The same procedure is also applicable to the F/O seat.
NOTE: This task includes a check of the operation of the vertical and horizontal mechanical control levers.
   (1) Do not use the electrical switches during the check procedure.
   (2) Move the seat to the maximum rearward position and then to the maximum down position.
   (3) Make sure that the horizontal control lever (1) and the vertical control lever (2) turn freely.
   (4) Make sure that there are no points of friction.
   (5) Turn the 81700ST1-015003 ADJUSTMENT GAGE - LEVERS, CAPT, F.O. SEATS to the correct side of the seat (CAPT or F/O).
   (6) Install the adjustment gage (3) behind one lever.
NOTE: The gage is the same for the horizontal control lever (1) and the vertical control lever (2).
   (7) Align the A axis with the lever axis.
NOTE: The lever must be in its usual position.
   (8) Attach the adjustment gage (3) with a small spring-clip (4).
   (9) Move the control lever from the A axis to the B axis.
NOTE: The lever travel must not cause a disengagement of the seat locking mechanism.
NOTE: The B axis position is the start of the unlocking phase.
   (10) Move the lever from the B axis to the C axis.
   (11) Unlock the actuator.
NOTE: In this position (C axis), the lever must touch the stop screw installed in the control box.
   (12) Release the lever.
NOTE: The lever must move back to its usual position.
   (13) If the results of the checks are correct, the seat is serviceable. If the results are incorrect, remove the seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-51-000-001).

B. Check of the Control Lever Travel (Reclining)
NOTE: This task gives the instructions necessary for the inspection of the control levers of the CAPT seat. The same procedure is also applicable to the F/O seat.
   (1) Do not use the electrical switches during the check procedure.
   (2) Move the seat to the maximum rearward position and then to the maximum down position.
   (3) Make sure that the control lever R (5) turns freely.
   (4) Make sure that there are no points of friction.
   (5) Turn the 81100ST1-015003 ADJUSTMENT GAGE - LEVERS, CAPT, F.O. SEATS or the 81700SB3-002051 GAGE,ADJUSTMENT-LEVERS,CAPT,F.O. SEATS to the correct side of the seat (CAPT or F/O).
   (6) Install the adjustment gage (3) behind the lever.
   (7) Align the A axis with the lever axis.
NOTE: The lever must be in its usual position.
   (8) Attach the adjustment gage (3) in position with a small spring-clip (4).
   (9) Move the control lever from the A axis to the B axis.
NOTE: The lever travel must not cause a disengagement of the seat locking mechanism.
NOTE: The B axis position is the start of the unlocking phase.
   (10) Move the lever from the B axis to the C axis.
   (11) Unlock the actuator.
NOTE: In this position (C axis), the lever must touch the stop screw installed in the control box.
   (12) Release the lever.
NOTE: The lever must move back to its usual position.
   (13) If the results of the checks are correct, the seat is serviceable. If the results are incorrect, remove the seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-51-000-001).

A. Installation of the Components
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Put the shroud (14) in position on the seat panel assembly.
   (3) Install the washers (12) and the screws (13).
   (4) Install the screws (10).
   (5) Tighten the screws (10) and (13).
   (6) Install the CAPT-(F/O) seat cushion (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-61-400-001).

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
