Subtask 24-38-54-860-050-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) In the cockpit, on the ELEC panel 35VU, make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the avionics compartment doors 812 and 822.
(5) Make sure that the access doors 812 and 822 are open.
(6) Make sure that the access panels of the AC/DC emergency power center 106VU and the battery power center 105VU are open.
Subtask 24-38-54-865-051-A (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) In the cockpit, on the ELEC panel 35VU, make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:
- BAT 1,
- BAT 2.
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the avionics compartment doors 812 and 822.
(5) Make sure that the access doors 812 and 822 are open.
(6) Make sure that the access panels of the AC/DC emergency power center 106VU and the battery power center 105VU are open.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Installation of the Battery Shunt
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Install the battery shunt (1).
(3) Install the bolts (9) and the washers (10).
(4) TORQUE the bolts (9) to between 4.8 and 3.7 m.N (42.5 and 32.7 lbf.in )

(5) Install the ground cables (8), washers (7), new AIPC 24-38-01-02-042 LOCKWASHER (6) or new AIPC 24-38-81-02-042 LOCKWASHER (6) and bolts (5).
(6) TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 79.62 and 53.10 lbf.in (0.90 and 0.60 m.daN )

(7) Install the electrical wires (4), the new AIPC 24-38-01-02-047 LOCKWASHER (3) or the new AIPC 24-38-81-02-047 LOCKWASHER (3) and the bolts (2).
(8) TORQUE the bolts (2) to between 17.70 and 13.28 lbf.in (0.20 and 0.15 m.daN )

5. Close-up(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Install the battery shunt (1).
(3) Install the bolts (9) and the washers (10).
(4) TORQUE the bolts (9) to between 4.8 and 3.7 m.N (42.5 and 32.7 lbf.in )
.(5) Install the ground cables (8), washers (7), new AIPC 24-38-01-02-042 LOCKWASHER (6) or new AIPC 24-38-81-02-042 LOCKWASHER (6) and bolts (5).
(6) TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 79.62 and 53.10 lbf.in (0.90 and 0.60 m.daN )
.(7) Install the electrical wires (4), the new AIPC 24-38-01-02-047 LOCKWASHER (3) or the new AIPC 24-38-81-02-047 LOCKWASHER (3) and the bolts (2).
(8) TORQUE the bolts (2) to between 17.70 and 13.28 lbf.in (0.20 and 0.15 m.daN )

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access panels of the AC/DC emergency power center 106VU and the battery power center 105VU.
(3) Close the access doors 812 and 822.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 24-38-54-862-050-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access panels of the AC/DC emergency power center 106VU and the battery power center 105VU.
(3) Close the access doors 812 and 822.
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
