B. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on the ELEC panel 35VU, release these pushbutton switches:

- BAT 1,
- BAT 2.
C. Get access to the avionics compartment.
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the avionics compartment doors 812 and 822.
(2) Open the access doors 812 and 822.
(3) Open the access panels of the AC/DC emergency power center 106VU and the battery power center 105VU.
Subtask 24-38-54-865-050-A (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the avionics compartment doors 812 and 822.
(2) Open the access doors 812 and 822.
(3) Open the access panels of the AC/DC emergency power center 106VU and the battery power center 105VU.

A. Removal of the Battery Shunt
(1) Remove the bolts (5).
(2) Remove and discard the lockwashers (6).
(3) Remove the washers (7) and the ground cables (8).
(4) Remove the bolts (2).
(5) Remove and discard the lockwashers (3).
(6) Remove the electrical wires (4).
(7) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (10).
(8) Remove the battery shunt (1).
(1) Remove the bolts (5).
(2) Remove and discard the lockwashers (6).
(3) Remove the washers (7) and the ground cables (8).
(4) Remove the bolts (2).
(5) Remove and discard the lockwashers (3).
(6) Remove the electrical wires (4).
(7) Remove the bolts (9) and the washers (10).
(8) Remove the battery shunt (1).
