Removal of the Contactor

MAKE SURE THAT NO AC OR DC POWER IS CONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS.
THERE IS A RISK OF ELECTROCUTION IF THE AC OR DC POWER STAYS CONNECTED.

A. Get access to the avionics compartment.
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the avionics compartment doors 812 and 822.
(2) Open the access doors 812 and 822.
(3) Open the access panels of the AC/DC emergency power center 106VU and BATTERY power center 105VU.

(2) Open the access doors 812 and 822.

A. Removal of the Contactor
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Loosen the captive screws (3).
CAUTION:
REMOVE THE CONTACTOR ONLY AND NOT THE BASE OR THE MODULE WHERE THE WIRES ARE CONNECTED.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (4). (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Loosen the captive screws (3).
NOTE: Do not remove the captive screws (3) and the spring washers from the contactor (5).
(4) Release the contactor (5) from its base (1) and remove it.
