A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
NOTE: When the circuit breakers 4XG and 12XG are open, the EXT PWR/AVAIL caution light and the AVAIL legend of the EXT PWR pusbutton switch are off.
   (2) On the ENG panel 115VU:
  • make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine, is in position.

C. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 811.
   (2) Make sure that the access door 811 is open.
4. Procedure
Subtask 24-22-33-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the EGIU
   (1) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (2) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (5) Put the EGIU in position in the rack (6).
   (6) Carefully push the EGIU until it engages the rack receptacle (5).
   (7) Put the knurled nut (1) on the stud (2) and tighten the knurled nut (1).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
   (2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

D. Operational Test of the EGIU
   (1) For 22XU1
     (a) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001)
     (b) On the ECAM control panel, push the ELEC key (on the lower ECAM DU, the ELEC page comes into view).
     (c) On the ELEC page, make sure that the following EXT PWR parameters are correct:
  • AC V = 115 + or - 5V,
  • FRQ HZ = 400 + or - 10HZ.
     (d) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (2) For 22XU2
     (a) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits from the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
     (b) On the ELEC page, make sure that the following APU GEN parameters are correct:
  • AC LOAD Percent shown in green,
  • AC V = 115 + or - 5V,
  • FRQ HZ = 400 + or - 10HZ.
     (c) Stop the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the access door 811.
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
