(2) Install the new packing (3) on the filter cap (4) and make sure that it is in the correct position.
(3) Install the new packing (1) on a new AIPC 24-21-51-61-290 FILTER ELEMENT (2) and make sure that it is in the correct position.
(4) Put the new filter (2) element in the filter cavity.
(5) Install the filter cap (4).
(6) TORQUE the filter cap (4) to between 15 and 13 lbf.ft (2.03 and 1.76 m.daN )

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC system 1(2).
Subtask 24-21-51-010-105-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

A. Lubrication of the Consumable Materials
(1) Apply Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) to the new AIPC 24-21-51-61-300 PACKING (1) and to the new AIPC 24-21-51-61-280 PACKING (3).
Subtask 24-21-51-420-168-A (1) Apply Synthetic base Lubricating Oil-Turbine Engine - - (Material No.03ABA1) to the new AIPC 24-21-51-61-300 PACKING (1) and to the new AIPC 24-21-51-61-280 PACKING (3).
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE COMPONENTS ARE IN THE CORRECT POSITION IN THE FILTER CAVITIES BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE FILTER COVERS. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE FILTER COVER SCREWS TO PUT THE FILTER COMPONENTS IN THE HOUSINGS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT CLEAN AND USE AGAIN A FILTER ELEMENT THAT YOU REMOVED.
B. Installation of the Scavenge and Charge Filter Elements NOTE: The procedure is the same for the two filters.
(1) Remove the blanking cap from the filter cavity. (2) Install the new packing (3) on the filter cap (4) and make sure that it is in the correct position.
(3) Install the new packing (1) on a new AIPC 24-21-51-61-290 FILTER ELEMENT (2) and make sure that it is in the correct position.
(4) Put the new filter (2) element in the filter cavity.
(5) Install the filter cap (4).
(6) TORQUE the filter cap (4) to between 15 and 13 lbf.ft (2.03 and 1.76 m.daN )
. (7) Installation of the lockwires
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(8) Safety the filter cap with Subtask 24-21-51-410-088-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)
