A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position.
(c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
(2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
(3) Wait ten minutes after the engine shutdown.
Subtask 24-20-00-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Ground Maintenance
Subtask 24-20-00-010-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access
(1) Open the left thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

A. Cleaning of the IDG Oil Sight-Glass for Correct Conditions
(a) If the IDG oil sight-glass is not clean:
Go to Para. B. of the Procedure.
Subtask 24-20-00-210-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
(1) Make sure that the IDG oil sight-glass is clean. - FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
- GET MEDICAL AID.
(a) If the IDG oil sight-glass is not clean:
- Clean the sight glass with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) , and
- Remove the remaining solvent with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) or blow air on the sight glass with a AIR SOURCE FILTERED, DRY to dry it.
Go to Para. B. of the Procedure.
B. Check of the IDG Maintenance Conditions
(2) Make sure that the red button of the IDG DPI oil filter is not extended.
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT DO THIS TASK IF THE IDG IS DISCONNECTED.
BEFORE YOU DO A CHECK OF THE IDG OIL LEVEL, MAKE SURE THAT THE IDG IS CONNECTED.
A DISCONNECTED IDG CAN CAUSE AN INCORRECT OIL QUANTITY INDICATION AND THUS INCORRECT SERVICING. IF THE LEVEL IS TOO HIGH OR TOO LOW, DAMAGE CAN OCCUR TO THE IDG WHEN IT OPERATES.
CAUTION:
DO NOT OPERATE THE IDG WITHOUT SUFFICIENT OIL. THIS WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE IDG.
(1) Make sure that the IDG oil level at the sight glass is not in the lower red band. (2) Make sure that the red button of the IDG DPI oil filter is not extended.
- Use an LIGHT SOURCE - INSPECTION and an MIRROR - INSPECTION, if necessary.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the left thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-802):
