3. Job Set-up
Subtask 24-20-00-860-053-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position.
   (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (3) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (4) Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).

B. Get access to the avionics compartment.
   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE at the access door 812 of the avionics compartment.
   (2) Open the access door 812.

C. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:

4. Procedure
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE RAT TRAVEL RANGE IS CLEAR BEFORE YOU EXTEND/RETRACT THE RAT.
Subtask 24-20-00-710-053-B
A. Extension of the RAT
   (1) Do the extension of the Ram Air Turbine (RAT) on the ground (Ref. AMM TASK 29-22-00-869-005).
Subtask 24-20-00-710-054-B
B. Retraction of the RAT
   (1) Do the retraction of the Ram Air Turbine (RAT) on the ground (Ref. AMM TASK 29-22-00-869-006).
5. Close-up
Subtask 24-20-00-860-052-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Depressurize the Blue hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the safety barriers.

B. Close Access
   (1) Close the access door 812.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
