   (1) Make sure that the STEPLADDER 0.5 M (1.6 FT) is below the related access panel.
   (2) FOR [209RH1] (DEU TERMINATION BOX), [209RH2] (DEU TERMINATION BOX)
Make sure that the cove light panels 251ZW and 252ZW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-000-001) are removed.
   (3) FOR [309RH1] (DEU TERMINATION BOX), [309RH2] (DEU TERMINATION BOX)
Make sure that the aft utility area - ceiling panel 261DF (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-002) is removed.

A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits

   (1) Make sure that the EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL on the overhead panel 25VU is in the OFF position.
   (2) Make sure that the STEPLADDER 0.5 M (1.6 FT) is below the related access panel.
   (3) FOR [209RH1] (DEU TERMINATION BOX), [209RH2] (DEU TERMINATION BOX)
Make sure that the cove light panels 251ZW and 252ZW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-000-001) are removed.
   (4) FOR [309RH1] (DEU TERMINATION BOX), [309RH2] (DEU TERMINATION BOX)
Make sure that the aft utility area - ceiling panel 261DF (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-000-002) is removed.

4. Procedure
Subtask 23-73-43-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Termination Box

F Termination Box DEU Type A/B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Connect the termination box (3) to the DEU (1) and tighten the nylatches (4).
   (4) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (5) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (6) Make sure that the coding switches are in the positions recorded during the removal procedure. For the correct position of the DEU coding switches, please refer to ASM 237305 ASM 237321.
NOTE: It is mandatory to set the position of the coding switches correctly. An incorrect position of the coding switches causes incorrect CIDS operation. Because of this, there can be fault messages related to the CIDS and/or the related DEU. When there are no fault messages you cannot be sure that all coding switches are in the correct position.
   (7) Connect the electrical connector (2) to the termination box (3).
   (8) Safety the electrical connector (2).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE SPRING LATCHES CORRECTLY HOLD THE CONNECTOR IN THE FULLY ENGAGED POSITION. THE SPRING LATCHES PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE CONNECTOR, AND THUS THE RISK OF ARCING, WHICH CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE UNIT.
     (a) Safety the electrical connector (2) with the spring latches (5).

   (2) Do the BITE test of the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) through the CFDS
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-740-005).

Install the cove light panels 251ZW and 252ZW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-400-001).
   (3) FOR [309RH1] (DEU TERMINATION BOX), [309RH2] (DEU TERMINATION BOX)
Install the aft utility area - ceiling panel 261DF (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-42-400-002).
   (4) Remove the STEPLADDER 0.5 M (1.6 FT).
