C. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at access door 824 in zone 128.
   (2) Make sure that access door 824 is open.

A. Installation of the CIDS Director 1
NOTE: The installation procedure of the CIDS director 1 is different from the installation procedure of the CIDS director 2.
   (1) Prepare CIDS director 1
     (a) If the aircraft operated with only the CIDS director 1, remove the plug(s) from the ventilation holes that have marks.
     (b) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (c) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (d) Remove the blanking cap from each electrical connector (1).
     (e) Make sure that the electrical connectors (1) are clean and in the correct condition.
   (2) Install the CIDS director 1 (5) on its rack (2).
   (3) Push the CIDS director 1 (5) on its rack (2) to connect the electrical connectors (1).
   (4) Engage the nuts (3) on the lugs (4) and tighten them.
   (5) Refer to Para. 4.C. of this procedure.

B. Installation of the CIDS Director 2
NOTE: The installation procedure of the CIDS director 2 is different from the installation procedure of the CIDS director 1.
   (1) Prepare CIDS director 2:
     (a) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (b) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (c) Remove the blanking cap from each electrical connector (1).
     (d) Make sure that the electrical connectors (1) are clean and in the correct condition.
   (2) Install the CIDS director 2 (5) on its rack (2).
   (3) Push the CIDS director 2 (5) on its rack (2) to connect the electrical connectors (1).
   (4) Engage the nuts (3) on the lugs (4) and tighten them.

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (1) FOR [102RH] (DIR-CIDS, 2)
Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the blanking cap from each electrical connector (1).
   (4) Make sure that the electrical connectors (1) are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) Install the CIDS director 1 (5) on its rack (2).
   (6) Push the CIDS director 1 (5) on its rack (2) to connect the electrical connectors (1).
   (7) Engage the nuts (3) on the lugs (4) and tighten them.
