C. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the access door 824 in zone 128.
(2) Make sure that the access door 824 is open.

Subtask 23-73-34-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of CIDS Director 1
(a) If you sent the aircraft to service with only CIDS director 1, remove the plug(s) from the ventilation holes that have marks.
(b) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(c) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(d) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (1).
(e) Make sure that the electrical connectors (1) are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Install CIDS director 1 (5) on its rack (2).
(3) Push CIDS director 1 (5) on its rack (2) to connect the electrical connectors (1).
(4) Engage the nuts (3) on the lugs (4) and tighten.
(5) Go to Para. 4.C. of this procedure.
Subtask 23-73-34-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The installation procedure of CIDS director 1 is different from the installation procedure of CIDS director 2.
(1) Preparation of CIDS director 1 (a) If you sent the aircraft to service with only CIDS director 1, remove the plug(s) from the ventilation holes that have marks.
(b) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(c) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(d) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (1).

(3) Push CIDS director 1 (5) on its rack (2) to connect the electrical connectors (1).
(4) Engage the nuts (3) on the lugs (4) and tighten.
(5) Go to Para. 4.C. of this procedure.
B. Installation of CIDS Director 2
(a) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(b) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(c) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (1).
(d) Make sure that the electrical connectors (1) are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Install CIDS director 2 (5) on its rack (2).
(3) Push CIDS director 2 (5) on its rack (2) to connect the electrical connectors (1).
(4) Engage the nuts (3) on the lugs (4) and tighten them.
Subtask 23-73-34-865-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The installation procedure of CIDS director 2 is different from the installation procedure of CIDS director 1.
(1) Preparation of CIDS director 2 (a) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(b) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(c) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (1).
(d) Make sure that the electrical connectors (1) are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Install CIDS director 2 (5) on its rack (2).
(3) Push CIDS director 2 (5) on its rack (2) to connect the electrical connectors (1).
(4) Engage the nuts (3) on the lugs (4) and tighten them.
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

E. Installation of CIDS Director 1
(1) FOR [102RH] (DIR-CIDS, 2)
Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (1).
(4) Make sure that the electrical connectors (1) are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Install CIDS director 1 (5) on its rack (2).
(6) Push CIDS director 1 (5) on its rack (2) to connect the electrical connectors (1).
(7) Engage the nuts (3) on the lugs (4) and tighten them.

Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

(2) Close access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
