This procedure gives the instructions necessary to make sure that the CABIN READY function works on the Forward/Flight Attendant Panel (FAP).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
   (3) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (4) Do the ECAM start procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-003).

WARNING: BEFORE YOU OPEN PHC CIRCUIT BREAKERS 2DA1(2,3), OPEN PROBE HEATER CIRCUIT-BREAKERS 1DA1(2), 3DA1(2,3), 4DA1(2,3) AND 5DA1(2,3). IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE: - THE PROBES WILL BECOME TOO HOT. - THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL.
WARNING: OPEN CIRCUIT BREAKERS 2KS1 AND 2KS2 AFTER YOU OPEN THE IGNITION CIRCUIT BREAKERS. IF NOT, THE CONTINUOUS IGNITION SYSTEM WILL BE ACTIVATED.

  • open the circuit breakers FADEC EIU 1 and EIU 2,

2.On the MCDU:
On the MCDU:
  • push the MCDU MENU pushbutton switch,
  • the MCDU main menu is displayed,
  • push the line key adjacent to '<AIDS',
  • the AIDS menu is displayed,
  • push the line key adjacent to 'CALL-UP <PARAM LAB',
  • the AIDS PARAM LABEL CALL-UP menu is displayed,
  • enter on the MCDU keypad the parameter label '29/1/002/11',
  • the parameter label is shown on the display,
  • push the insert line key 1L to take over the label Call-up parameter,
  • the first label Call-up appears in the data field,
  • enter on the MCDU keypad the parameter label '29/2/002/11',
  • the parameter label is shown on the display,
  • push the insert line key 4L to take over the label Call-up parameter,
  • the second label Call-up appears in the data field,
3.On the Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH:
On the FAP 120RH:
  • push the CABIN READY pushbutton switch,
  • the green indicator light in the CABIN READY pushbutton switch comes on,

On the MCDU:

  • at both label Call-up data fields the BIT 18 changes from 1 to 0,
4.On the FAP:
On the FAP:
  • push the CABIN READY pushbutton switch:
  • the green indicator light in the CABIN READY pushbutton switch goes off,

On the MCDU:

  • at both label Call-up data fields the BIT 18 changes from 0 to 1,
5.On the MCDU:

  • push the MCDU MENU pushbutton switch,
  • the MCDU main menu is displayed.
6.On the Overhead Panel 49VU:

  • close the circuit breakers FADEC EIU 1 and EIU 2.

  • At the two label Call-up data fields the BIT 18 changes from 1 to 0.

  • Push the CABIN READY key:
  • The green indicator light of the CABIN READY key goes off.

On the MCDU:

  • At the two label Call-up data fields the BIT 18 changes from 0 to 1.

  • Push the MCDU MENU pushbutton switch.
  • The MCDU main menu shows.
6.On Overhead Panel 49VU:

  • Close circuit breakers FADEC EIU 1 and EIU 2.
