OPERATIONAL CHECK FOR SECONDARY POWER SUPPLY TO DIRECTORS AND DECODER/ENCODER UNITS, AND DECODER/ENCODER UNITS-A CUT OFF FUNCTION
This procedure gives the instructions necessary to verify the operation of the CIDS with normal or essential power supply.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
   (2) Make sure that at least one cabin door is open.
Subtask 23-73-00-860-070-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Make sure that the EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL on the cockpit overhead panel 25VU is in the OFF position.

A. Do this test.

RESULT
1.On the C/B Panel 121VU:

  • open the C/Bs DIR NORM/1 and DIR NORM/2 151RH and 156RH.

2.On the C/B Panel 49VU:

  • open the C/B DIR ESS/2 157RH.

3.On the C/B Panel 121VU:

  • open the C/B DEU A/BAT/LINE 1 144RH

  • open the C/B DEU A/BAT/LINE 2 145RH

  • open the C/B DIR 2/BAT 146RH

  • open the C/B DIR 1/BAT 147RH

  • open the C/B BAT/CTL 148RH.

4.On the Overhead Panel 25VU:
In the cabin:
  • set the SIGN SEAT BELT switch 191RH to the ON position.
  • all FASTEN SEAT BELT (FSB) signs come on.
5.On the C/B Panel 49VU:

  • close the C/B DIR ESS/2 157RH,

  • open the C/B DIR ESS/1 150RH.

6.On the C/B Panel 121VU:

  • open the C/Bs DEU A NORM 163RH to 168RH.
  • all FSB signs go off.
7.In the cabin at the FWD ATTND Station:
In the cabin and the lavatories:
  • remove the handset from the cradle,

  • push the PA ALL pushbutton,

  • push the PTT and do an announcement.
  • the announcement is heard through the loudspeakers.
8.At the FWD ATTND Station:

  • release the PTT,

  • put the handset back into its cradle.

9.On the C/B Panel 49VU:

  • close the C/B DIR ESS/1 150RH,

  • open the C/B DIR ESS/2 157RH.

10.In the cabin at the FWD ATTND Station:

  • remove the handset from the cradle,

  • push the PA ALL pushbutton,

  • push the PTT and do an announcement.
  • the announcement is heard through the loudspeakers.
11.At the FWD ATTND Station:

  • release the PTT,

  • put the handset back into its cradle.

12.In the cockpit on the Overhead Panel 25VU:

  • set the SIGN SEAT BELT switch 191RH to the OFF position.

13.In the cockpit on the C/B Panel 121VU:

  • close the C/B DIR NORM/1 and DIR NORM/2 151RH and 156RH,

  • close the C/Bs DEU A NORM 163RH to 168RH.

14.On the C/B Panel 121VU:

  • close the C/B DEU A/BAT/LINE 1 144RH

  • close the C/B DEU A/BAT/LINE 2 145RH

  • close the C/B DIR 2/BAT 146RH

  • close the C/B DIR 1/BAT 147RH

  • close the C/B BAT/CTL 148RH.

15.On the C/B Panel 49VU:

  • close the C/B DIR ESS/2 157RH.

  • open the C/B DIR ESS/1 150RH.

5.On the C/B Panel 121VU:
  • open the C/Bs DEU A NORM 163RH to 166RH.

6.In the cabin on C/B Panel 2001VU:

  • open the C/Bs DEU A NORM 173RH to 176RH.
  • all FSB signs go off.
7.In the cabin at the FWD ATTND Station:
In the cabin and the lavatories:
  • remove the handset from the cradle,

  • push the PA ALL pushbutton,

  • push the PTT and do an announcement.
  • the announcement is heard through the loudspeakers.
8.At the FWD ATTND Station:

  • release the PTT,

  • put the handset back into its cradle.

9.On the C/B Panel 49VU:

  • close the C/B DIR ESS/1 150RH,

  • open the C/B DIR ESS/2 157RH.

10.In the cabin at the FWD ATTND Station:

  • remove the handset from the cradle,

  • push the PA ALL pushbutton,

  • push the PTT and do an announcement.

15.On the C/B Panel 49VU:

  • close the C/B DIR ESS/2 157RH.
