B. Procedure
   (1) In the aft cargo compartment:
   (2) In the cockpit, on the MCDU:
  • Do the Interface and Power-Up test of the CIDS through the CFDS.
    (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-740-005)
  • Make sure that only FAP-related failure messages show.
   (3) In the cockpit:
  • Lift the handset from the cradle.
  • Push and hold the PTT pushbutton switch and make an announcement.
   (4) In the cabin:
  • Make sure that you hear the announcement.
   (5) Install a placard "INOP" on the deactivated system to tell persons not to use it (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-400-021).
   (6) Make an entry in the logbook.
