4. Procedure
Subtask 23-71-00-610-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Connection of the HHMPI Tool for CVR P/N 980-6032-XXX:
   (1) Remove the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) (1) from the CVR rack (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-71-35-000-001)
   (2) Do a visual inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Insert the HNY CVR rack adaptor (PN:FDS40-0247)(2) between the mounting tray (3) and the CVR (1).
   (4) Turn the label (4) to get access to the front connector of the CVR (1).
   (5) Connect the HHMPI (PN:FDS40-0310)(6) to the CVR front connector with the HNY interface cable (PN:FDS40-0274)(5).

B. Connection of the HHMPI Tool for CVR P/N 980-6022-XXX:
   (1) Remove the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) (1) from the CVR rack (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-71-35-000-001).
   (2) Do a visual inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Insert the HNY CVR rack adaptor (PN:FDS40-0215)(2) between the mounting tray (3) and the CVR (1).
   (4) Connect the HHMPI (PN:FDS40-0310)(5) to the HNY interface cable connector (PN:FDS40-0215)(4).

C. Connection of the HHMPI Tool for CVR P/N LA3P (FA2100).
   (1) Remove the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR)(1) from the CVR rack (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-71-35-000-001).
   (2) Do a visual inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Insert the HNY CVR rack adaptor (PN:FDS40-0247)(7) between the mounting tray (6) and the CVR (1).
   (4) Remove the screw (3) from the label (2).
   (5) Turn the label (2) to get access to the front connector of the CVR (1).
   (6) Connect the HHMPI (PN:FDS40-0310)(5) to the CVR front connector with the HNY interface cable (PN:FDS40-0202)(4).

   (1) On the overhead panel,on the RCDR section of panel 21VU, on the RCDR/GND CTL pushbutton switch, make sure that the ON legend is on.

   (1) Obey the supplier data-extraction procedure.

   (3) Remove the HNY CVR rack adaptor (2) between the mounting tray (3) and the CVR (1).
   (4) Install the CVR (1) on the CVR rack (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-71-35-400-001)

I. Disconnection of the HHMPI Tool for CVR P/N 980-6022-XXX:
   (1) Disconnect the HHMPI (5) to the HNY interface cable connector (4).

   (3) Install the CVR (1) on the CVR rack (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-71-35-400-001)

   (4) Remove the HNY CVR rack adaptor (7) between the mounting tray (6) and the CVR (1).

   (1) Do the operational test of the CVR and the CVR channel recording (Ref. AMM TASK 23-71-00-710-001).
