   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position at zone 312.
   (2) Open accessory compartment access-door 312AR.

4. Procedure
Subtask 23-71-00-610-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Connection of the L3AP Tool
   (1) Remove the CVR (1) from the CVR rack (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-71-35-000-001).
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Connect the electrical connector (4) of the 17TES0078 L3AP RACK ADAPTOR CABLE to the receptacle (3) of the CVR (1).
   (4) Connect the electrical connector (5) of the 17TES0078 L3AP RACK ADAPTOR CABLE to the receptacle (6) of the CVR rack (2).
   (5) Turn the label (7) to get access to the receptacle (8) of the CVR (1).
   (6) Connect the electrical connector (9) of the 17TES0043 PORTABLE INTERFACE (PI) (11) to the receptacle (8) of the CVR (1).
   (7) Tighten the captive screws (10).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (1) Obey the supplier data-extraction procedure.

F. Disconnection of the L3AP Tool
   (1) Loosen the captive screws (10).
   (2) Disconnect the electrical connector (9) of the 17TES0043 PORTABLE INTERFACE (PI) (11) from the receptacle (8) of the CVR (1).
   (3) Turn the label (7) to its initial position.
   (4) Disconnect the electrical connector (4) of the 17TES0078 L3AP RACK ADAPTOR CABLE from the receptacle (3) of the CVR (1).
   (5) Disconnect the electrical connector (5) of the 17TES0078 L3AP RACK ADAPTOR CABLE from the receptacle (6) of the CVR rack (2).
   (6) Install the CVR (1) on the CVR rack (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-71-35-400-001).

   (1) In the cockpit, on overhead control and indicating panel 21VU, release the RCDR/GND CTL pushbutton switch (the blue ON legend is off).

I. Operational Tests
   (1) Do the operational test of the CVR and the CVR channel recording (Ref. AMM TASK 23-71-00-710-001).
   (2) Do the operational test of the CVR recording logic with the time delay relay (Ref. AMM TASK 23-71-00-710-002).

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close accessory compartment access-door 312AR.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).

   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
