   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position at zone 212.
   (2) Open the Accessory Compartment Access-Door 312AR.

4. Procedure
Subtask 23-71-00-610-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Connection of the EHHDLU Tool PN:980-602X
F EHHDLU Tool for P/N 980-602X ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Remove the CVR (1) from the CVR rack (2). (Ref. AMM TASK 23-71-35-000-001)
   (2) Do a visual inspection and clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Connect electrical connector (3) of the Adapter Cable (PN 704-3058-002) to the CVR receptacle (4) of the CVR (1).
   (4) Connect electrical connector (9) of the Adapter Cable (PN 704-3058-002) to the CVR rack receptacle (10) of the CVR rack (2).
   (5) Connect the 15-pin connector of the Adapter Cable (PN 704-3058-002)(8) to the 15-pin connector of the EHHDLU-to-DVDR/AR -Series Download Cable (PN 69001369)(7).
   (6) Connect the USB connector of the EHHDLU-to-DVDR/AR-Series Download Cable (PN 69001369)(6) to the USB port on the EHHDLU (5).
NOTE: All tools are part of 69001074-070 EXTENDED HANDHELD DOWNLOAD UNIT (EHHDLU)
For the 69001074-060 KIT-EHHDLU HANDHELD, the 704-3058-002 cable is not included and must be ordered separately.

B. Connection of the EHHDLU Tool PN:980-6032
   (1) Open the flap to get access to the front connector (6) of the CVR.
   (2) Connect the 15-pin connector (5) of the HFR5 download cable (704-2864-041) to the front connector of the recorder (6).
   (3) Connect the RJ-45 connector (4) of the HFR5 download cable (704-2864-041) to the RJ-45 port of the USB-to-Ethernet adapter (69001347)(3).
   (4) Connect the USB connector (2) of the USB-to-Ethernet adapter (69001347)(3) to the USB host port of the EHHDLU tool (69001338)(1).
NOTE: All tools are part of 69001074-070 EXTENDED HANDHELD DOWNLOAD UNIT (EHHDLU)
For the 69001074-060 KIT-EHHDLU HANDHELD, the 704-3058-002 cable is not included and must be ordered separately.

D. Energization of the CVR
   (1) In the cockpit, on overhead control and indicating panel 21VU, push the RCDR/GND CTL pushbutton switch (the blue ON legend is on).

E. Data Extraction of the CVR On-board
   (1) Select the EHHDLU option in the start menu of the EHHDLU tool.
   (2) Select the 'Download' option.
   (3) Select the recorder type from the list.
   (4) Select the folder path to save the downloaded CVR data.
NOTE: You can save the data in this folder or in the storage card.
   (5) Enter the file name.
NOTE: The default name of the file is 'DNLD'. It is displayed with the date and time (given in the EHHDLU tool) and the '.dlu' extension.
NOTE: You cannot change the date, the time and the file extension of the file.
   (6) Select the 'Start' option.
NOTE: After you select the 'Start' option, you cannot select it again. The 'Abort' option becomes available.
NOTE: It is not permitted to remove the cable during the downloading.
   (7) To stop the downloading, select the 'Abort' option.
   (8) To close the EHHDLU program, select the 'Close' option.

G. Disconnection of the EHHDLU Tool PN:980-602X
   (1) Disconnect the USB connector of the EHHDLU-to-DVDR/AR-Series Download Cable (PN 69001369)(6) to the USB port on the EHHDLU (5).
   (2) Disconnect the 15-pin connector of the Adapter Cable (PN 704-3058-002)(8) to the 15-pin connector of the EHHDLU-to-DVDR/AR-Series Download Cable (PN 69001369)(7).
   (3) Disconnect electrical connector (9) of the Adapter Cable (PN 704-3058- 002) to the CVR rack receptacle (10) of the CVR rack (2).
   (4) Disconnect electrical connector (3) of the Adapter Cable (PN 704-3058- 002) to the CVR receptacle (4) of the CVR (1).
   (5) Install the CVR (1) in the CVR rack (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-71-35-400-001)

H. Disconnection of the EHHDLU Tool PN:980-6032
   (1) Disconnect the USB connector (2) of the USB-to-Ethernet adapter (69001347)(3) to the USB host port of the EHHDLU tool (69001338)(1).
   (2) Disconnect the RJ-45 connector (4) of the HFR5 download cable (704-2864-041) to the RJ-45 port of the USB-to-Ethernet adapter (69001347)(3).
   (3) Disconnect the 15-pin connector (5) of the HFR5 download cable (704-2864-041) to the front connector of the recorder (6).
   (4) Close the flap to get access to the front connector (6) of the CVR.

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the Accessory Compartment Access-Door 312AR.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
