1. Reason for the Job
This procedure gives the instructions necessary to do the deactivation of the CVR.
This procedure prevents the deletion of the CVR data:
  • When the aircraft is on jacks.
  • If there is an incident.
This procedure must agree with the local authorities.
NOTE: This deactivation task is not related to an MMEL/MCDL item.

A. Deactivation of the CVR
   (1) Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
  • For 115VAC: 2RK(E14).
Subtask 23-71-00-040-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Deactivation of the CVR
   (1) Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
  • For 28VDC: 23RK(E14).
5. Close-up
Subtask 23-71-00-860-068-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Make an entry in the logbook.
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
