A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
(2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 23-44-41-865-069-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

C. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
447AL, 448AR.
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
447AL, 448AR.
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 23-44-41-020-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Removal of the Maintenance-Interphone Jack Harness
(1) Remove the four screws (7).
(2) Remove the mounting plate (6) and the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) (4000RJ) from the interphone bracket.
(3) Disconnect the pylon harness from the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) (4107VC).
(4) Put the CAP - BLANKING on the pylon harness.
(5) Remove the four screws (3) and four washers (2) that attach the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) (4107VC) to the interphone disconnect panel.
(6) For configuration 1:
(a) Remove the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) from the door as follows:
1 Remove the 12 screws (5) that attach the 12 clamps (4) and the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) to the brackets on the right fan cowl-door.
2 Remove the 12 clamps (4) and the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) from the right fan cowl-door.
3 Remove the 12 clamps (4) and the mounting plate (6) from the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1).
(7) For configuration 2:
(a) Remove the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) from the door as follows:
1 Remove the 12 nuts (10) and the 12 washers (9) that attach the 11 clamps (11), the clamp (8) and the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) to the studs on the right fan cowl-door.
2 Remove the clamp (8), the 11 clamps (11) and the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) from the right fan cowl-door.
3 Remove the clamp (8), the 11 clamps (11) and the mounting plate (6) from the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1).
(8) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(1) Remove the four screws (7).
(2) Remove the mounting plate (6) and the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) (4000RJ) from the interphone bracket.
(3) Disconnect the pylon harness from the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) (4107VC).
(4) Put the CAP - BLANKING on the pylon harness.
(5) Remove the four screws (3) and four washers (2) that attach the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) (4107VC) to the interphone disconnect panel.
(6) For configuration 1:
(a) Remove the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) from the door as follows:
1 Remove the 12 screws (5) that attach the 12 clamps (4) and the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) to the brackets on the right fan cowl-door.
2 Remove the 12 clamps (4) and the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) from the right fan cowl-door.
3 Remove the 12 clamps (4) and the mounting plate (6) from the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1).
(7) For configuration 2:
(a) Remove the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) from the door as follows:
1 Remove the 12 nuts (10) and the 12 washers (9) that attach the 11 clamps (11), the clamp (8) and the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) to the studs on the right fan cowl-door.
2 Remove the clamp (8), the 11 clamps (11) and the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1) from the right fan cowl-door.
3 Remove the clamp (8), the 11 clamps (11) and the mounting plate (6) from the maintenance-interphone jack harness (1).
(8) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
