NOTE: This deactivation task is not related to an AFM-CDL/MMEL item.

Subtask 23-44-00-860-060-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) In the cockpit, on the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position 5 minutes or more before you do this procedure.
(c) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
(3) In the cockpit, on the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 23-44-00-865-063-A (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) In the cockpit, on the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

A. Deactivation of the Maintenance Interphone Jack
(2) Isolate the maintenance interphone jack ESPM 205455:
(a) Temporarily attach the harness with the disconnected electrical wires to the aircraft structure with the TIE WRAP(S).
(4) Make a note to tell persons not to use the deactivated maintenance interphone jack:
(a) Near the deactivated maintenance interphone jack:
5. Close-upCAUTION:
MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.(2) Isolate the maintenance interphone jack ESPM 205455:
- Disconnect the wires at the interphone jack, or
- Disconnect the wires before the next connector jack after the interphone jack, or
- Disconnect the wires of the interphone jack you remove from the connector of all the interphone jacks split.
(a) Temporarily attach the harness with the disconnected electrical wires to the aircraft structure with the TIE WRAP(S).
(4) Make a note to tell persons not to use the deactivated maintenance interphone jack:
(a) Near the deactivated maintenance interphone jack:
- Apply a strip of Adhesive Film Tape-- Aluminium Foil - (Material No.05RAB9) .
- Use the MARKER - INDELIBLE to write on the tape "DO NOT USE MAINTENANCE INTERPHONE JACK".
- Make sure that you apply the adhesive tape on the air inlet or on the fan cowl only.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration

(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) In the cockpit, remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
