3. Job Set-up
Subtask 23-36-44-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Make sure that the applicable cove light panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-000-001).
   (2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Do an Inspection of the Insulation Mats
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE INSULATION MATS ARE NOT DAMAGED. DAMAGED INSULATION MATS CAN CAUSE WATER TO GO INTO THE TAPPING UNIT. WATER CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TAPPING UNIT.
     (a) Make sure that the insulation mats adjacent to the tapping unit are clean and in the correct condition.

A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) For the location of this component refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 23-33-00-00).
   (3) Make sure that the applicable cove light panels are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-000-001).
   (4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Tapping Unit (TU)

F Tapping Unit (TU) ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Carefully install the tapping unit (4) and lock the nylatches (1).
NOTE: At the end of the tapping unit lines the tapping unit must end with a termination plug. If a related tapping unit is installed, connect the termination plug to the tapping unit connector J3.
   (2) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (2).
   (3) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE CABLE CONNECTIONS OF THE TAPPING UNIT ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY AND HAVE A LOW-POINT LOOP. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A LOW-POINT LOOP IN THE CABLES, WATER CAN GO INTO THE TAPPING UNIT. WATER CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TAPPING UNIT.
   (4) Connect the Electrical Connectors
NOTE: You can find the instruction to install cables with a low-point loop in the ESPM 20-33-11 fig. 018.
     (a) Connect the electrical connectors (2) to the tapping unit (4) and safety with the spring latches (3).

A. Installation of the Tapping Unit
F Tapping Unit (TU) ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Carefully install the tapping unit (4) and lock the nylatches (1).
NOTE: At the end of the tapping unit lines the tapping unit has to be ended with a termination plug. If a related tapping unit is installed, connect the termination plug to the tapping unit connector J3.
   (2) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (2).
   (3) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Install a cover on the receptacle of the electrical connector J4 of TUs 50MH7 thru 50MH20.
   (5) Connect the electrical connectors (2) to the tapping unit and safety with the spring latches (3).
