C. Get access to the related Hatrack-Mounted Display-Unit (HMDU)
(1) Disengage and lower these parts forward and aft of the related HMDU (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-25-11-000-001):

the inboard side of the blank filler panel(s)
and/or the inboard side of the Passenger Service/Information Unit(s) (PSIU).

4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Hatrack-Mounted Display-Unit (HMDU)

Hatrack Mounted Display-Unit ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

NOTE: The procedure to remove all the HMDUs is the same. The procedure to remove one HMDU is given here.

(1) Push the outboard sides of the covers (5) up to get access if applicable.
(2) Hold the covers (5) in the open position if applicable.
(3) Loosen the screws (9) of the locking devices (8) if applicable.
(4) Remove the section-hose (2) from the inboard mounting rail (6) at the nearest overhead stowage compartment separation.
(5) Pull the section-hose (2) to remove it from the inboard mounting rail (6) between the nearest overhead stowage compartment separation and the HMDU (3).
(6) Push the outboard side of the HMDU (3) to disengage the rail unit (4) from the inboard mounting rail (6) and lower it.
(7) Disconnect the electrical connectors (7).
(8) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(9) Remove the section hose (2) from the outboard mounting rail (1).
(10) Disengage the LH rail unit (4) of the HMDU (3) from the outboard mounting rail (1) and remove the HMDU (3).
