   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the access door 824.
   (2) Open the access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (3) Do the ADIRS Start Procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-002).
   (4) Do the IR Alignment Procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-004).
NOTE: For the alignment procedure, make sure that the correct values for the longitude and latitude of the A/C position are shown.
NOTE: During the alignment procedure, make sure that a point of departure and a destination (airport identification) are put in on the MCDU. The point of departure must be where the A/C location is now.
   (5) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
   (6) Make sure that the Passenger Entertainment System (PES) (Video) is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 23-36-00-710-001).
   (7) Make sure that the CD-ROM DIU (190MH1) is in the Digital Interface Unit (DIU) (190MH).

CAUTION: DO NOT REMOVE THE POWER WHILE THE AIRSHOW DATA TRANSFER PROGRAM (ADTP) OPERATES. WHEN THE ADTP IS COMPLETED, THE COPYRIGHT PAGE SHOWS ON THE DISPLAY. IF YOU REMOVE THE POWER BEFORE THE ADTP IS COMPLETED, DAMAGE TO THE DIU 190MH WILL OCCUR.
A. Load the DIU Database Software.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the circuit breaker panel 2000VU:

  • remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
    189MH (C 7), PES/PVIS.
The Passenger Visual Information System (PVIS) energizes.
2.On the System Control Unit (SCU) 11MH:
On the SCU 11MH:
  • push the pushbutton switch MASTER POWER.
  • all LED come on while the SCU 11MH does the self test of the system,
  • the green LED PASS comes on when the self test is completed.

On the SCU 11MH, on the monitor:
  • the AUTO MODE page comes into view.
3.On the SCU 11MH, on the MODE SELECT area:
On the SCU 11MH, on the monitor:
  • push the pushbutton switch again and again until the LED ALL ZONES comes on.
  • the ALL ZONES MODE page comes into view,
On the SCU 11MH:

  • push the pushbutton switch MENU again and again until the BCS/AIRSHOW/PRAM page comes into view on the monitor,
  • the BCS/AIRSHOW/PRAM page comes into view,
  • push the arrow up or arrow down membrane switches and select the line AIRSHOW,

  • push the ENTER membrane switch,
  • the AIRSHOW MENU comes into view,
  • push the arrow up or arrow down membrane switches and select the line SET DISPLAY MODE,

  • push the ENTER membrane switch,
  • the SET DISPLAY MODE page comes into view,
  • push the arrow up or arrow down membrane switches and select the line TEST/AUTO,

  • push the ENTER membrane switch.
  • the display mode selection TEST/AUTO is made.
4.On the SCU 11MH:

  • push the PREVIEW SELECT switch.
  • monitor the MANUAL CONTROL board of the SCU for the indicators of AUX and PRI to be on and the digital display to show 7.
5.On the SCU 11MH, the MANUAL CONTROL board, ALL ZONES:

  • push the SOURCE/SEL switch again and again until the AUX and PRI indicators come on and the digital display shows 7.
  • the AUX and PRI indicators come on and the digital display shows 7.
6.On the SCU 11MH, the MANUAL CONTROL board, ALL ZONES:
On the SCU 11MH, the MANUAL CONTROL board, ALL ZONES:
  • push the ON/OFF/PWR switch.
  • the related LED of the PWR switch comes on.

On the SCU 11MH, on the monitor:
  • the airshow information comes into view.
7.On the DIU 190MH:
On the DIU 190MH:
  • loosen the captive screw on the disk tray access-door and open the door.
  • the disk tray access-door is open.
8.On the DIU 190MH:
On the DIU 190MH:
  • push the eject pushbutton switch to extend the disk tray.
  • the disk tray extends.
9.On the DIU 190MH:
On the DIU 190MH:
  • remove the disk from the disk tray,
  • the disk tray is empty,
  • put the new disk in position over the center hub of the disk tray,
  • the new disk is in position on the disk tray,
  • push the eject pushbutton switch to retract the disk tray.
  • the disk tray retracts.
NOTE: When you remove or install a DVD-ROM or CD-ROM disk, make sure that you do not scratch or put fingerprints on the surfaces of the disk.
NOTE: Do not push the front of the disk tray to retract it. This can damage the mechanism.
10.On the DIU 190MH:

  • close the disk tray access-door and tighten the captive screw.
  • the disk tray access-door is closed.
11.On the DIU 190MH, on the modification plate:

  • read the modification data.
  • if the modifications P or U are not marked, then do the check of the new loaded DIU database software at Paragraph B.,
  • if the modifications P or U are marked, then continue with the subsequent steps.
NOTE: You can find the modification data on the modification plate on the front panel of the DIU 190MH.
12.On the circuit breaker panel 2000VU:

  • open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
    189MH (C 7), PES/PVIS.
The PVIS de-energizes.
13.On the circuit breaker panel 2000VU:

  • remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
    189MH (C 7), PES/PVIS.
The PVIS energizes.
14.Obey the rules that follow:

  • CAUTION : DO NOT REMOVE THE POWER WHILE THE AIRSHOW DATA TRANSFER PROGRAM (ADTP) OPERATES. WHEN THE ADTP IS COMPLETED, THE COPYRIGHT PAGE SHOWS ON THE DISPLAY. IF YOU REMOVE THE POWER BEFORE THE ADTP IS COMPLETED, DAMAGE TO THE DIU 190MH WILL OCCUR.
NOTE: IF THE OPERATION OF THE ADTP STOPS BEFORE THE COPYRIGHT PAGE COMES INTO VIEW, YOU MUST WAIT FOR A MINIMUM OF 10 MINUTES BEFORE YOU CAN REMOVE THE POWER.

15.On the SCU 11MH, on the monitor:

  • wait for approximately one minute.
  • the AIRSHOW DATA TRANSFER PROGRAM page comes into view.
16.On the SCU 11MH, on the monitor:

  • look for the ADTP revision status.
  • if you see no revision status, then continue with step 17,
  • if the revision status is REV A, then continue with step 18,
  • if the revision status is REV B, then continue with step 19.

  • look for the shown information.
  • in the OPERATION field, UPDATE COPY or FULL COPY comes into view,

  • after approximately fifteen to thirty minutes the STATUS field with COMPLETED OK comes into view,

  • when the DIU 190MH reboots, the OPERATION field with COMPARE COPY or COMPARE ID'S comes into view,

  • the AIRSHOW COPYRIGHT page comes into view,

  • continue with the check of the new loaded DIU database software at Paragraph B.
NOTE: The subsequent step 18 is only for the ADTP with the revision status REV A.

  • in the OPERATION field, Full Copy comes into view,

  • in the OPERATION field, Completed OK comes into view, when all files are copied to the DIU 190MH,

  • when the DIU 190MH reboots, the OPERATION field with COMPARE COPY or COMPARE ID'S comes into view,

  • the AIRSHOW COPYRIGHT page comes into view,

  • continue with the check of the new loaded DIU database software at Paragraph B.
NOTE: The subsequent step 19 is only for the ADTP with the revision status REV B.

   (2) Do the ADIRS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-005).
   (3) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (5) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

B. Close Access
   (1) Close the access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
