(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits.

(2) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized.

(3) Do the procedure to get access to the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST COM page on the MCDU.

A. BITE-Test with the MCDU

ACTION	RESULT
1.On the Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH:	On the FAP:
touch the Seat Setting icon. touch the PES ON/OFF icon.	the seat setting page comes into view. the PES ON/OFF icon is highlighted with a color change.
2.On the MCDU, on the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST COM page:	On the MCDU:
push the line key CIDS1.	the CIDS1 (ACT.) menu page shows.
push the line key SYSTEM TEST	the CIDS1 (ACT.) / SYSTEM TEST menu page shows.
push the line key IFE MUSIC SYSTEM TEST.	the CIDS1 (ACT.) / SYSTEM TEST menu page shows the message TEST IN PROGRESS 3MN after approximately 5 seconds the message changes to ATA 23-33-00 TEST OK.
push the line key RETURN until CFDS menu page shows.	the CFDS menu page shows.
3.On the FAP:	On the FAP:
touch the PES ON/OFF icon. touch the CIDS status icon.	the PES ON/OFF icon is highlighted with a color change. the CIDS status page shows.
