3. Job Set-up
Subtask 23-33-00-860-160-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the CIDS is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
   (3) Make sure that the PAX SYS switch on the VCC is in the ON position.
   (4) Make sure that the In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system boot sequence is completed.
NOTE: Approximately five minutes are necessary to complete the boot sequence.
   (5) Make sure that the aircraft is on the ground and at gate (engines off and door opened).

1.On removable Display Unit (DU) 11MH, on the "Login/Welcome" page:

On removable DU 11MH:
  • Touch the "Maintenance" icon.
  • The "Maintenance Mode Login" page comes into view.
2.On removable DU 11MH, on the "Maintenance Mode Login" page:

  • Enter the password.

3.On removable DU 11MH, on the "Maintenance Mode Login" page:
On removable DU 11MH:
  • Touch the "Enter" icon.
  • A warning pop-up that shows Maintenance Mode stops all entertainment to the passengers comes into view.
4.On removable DU 11MH:

  • Touch the "Yes" icon.
  • The "Maintenance Home" page comes into view.
5.On removable DU 11MH, on the "Maintenance Home" page:

  • Touch the "Test Mode" icon in the lower left corner of the page.
  • The "Maintenance Test Mode" page comes into view.
  • On the left side of the page, the "At-Gate" and the "Weight on Wheels" indications for the discrete show Active (yellow).
  • The "Test Mode is OFF" icon comes into view.

  • Touch the "Test Mode is OFF" icon.
  • The "Test Mode is ON" message comes into view.
  • The "Sim At-Gate is ON" message comes into view.
  • The "Weight on wheels ON" message comes into view.

  • Enter or select a correct city code.

  • Touch the "Enter" icon.
  • The departure city is updated.

  • Enter or select "TLS".

  • Touch the "Enter" icon.
  • The arrival city is updated.

  • The hot spare units stay off.

  • Touch the "Switch to Maintenance" icon.
  • The "Maintenance Test Mode" page comes into view.
20.On removable DU 11MH, on the "Maintenance Test Mode" page:

  • Touch the "Sim At-Gate is ON" icon to stop it.
  • The icon changes to "Sim At-Gate is OFF".
  • There is no change at the passenger seats.
21.On removable DU 11MH, on the "Maintenance Test Mode" page:

  • Touch the "Weight on Wheels is ON" icon to stop it.
  • The icon changes to "Sim Weight on Wheels OFF".
  • There is no change at the passenger seats.

  • The icon changes to "Sim At-Gate is ON".

  • The entertainment stops on all passenger seats.
  • The "IFE off" page comes into view.
  • The "Login/Welcome" page comes into view.
  • The hot spare units stay OFF.

  • The "Data Offload" page comes into view.
  • The data collection bar with the data of the last flight from each seat comes into view.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Push the PAX SYS switch on VCC 10MH.
   (2) Make sure that internal light of the PAX SYS switch goes off.
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
