A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
(3) In the cockpit, on the Multi-Purpose Flight Attendant-Panel (MP-FAP) and on the Video Control Center (VCC)/Video Control Insert (VCI) make sure that there is(are) no WARNING NOTICE(S) that tells(tell) persons not to energize the IFE system.

A. Procedure to Prepare the IFE system for Operation

ACTION	RESULT
1.On the Video Control Center (VCC) 10MH: push the VCC MAIN POWER pushbutton switch, if installed.	On the VCC MAIN POWER pushbutton switch: the ON legend comes on.
2.Wait until the system initalization is completed. NOTE: The system initialization can take five to ten minutes. 3.On the Control Panel (CP) the WELCOME screen comes on after the system initialization is completed.

A. Procedure to Prepare the IFE system for Operation

ACTION	RESULT
1.On the Forward Attendant Panel (FAP): push the PES ON/OFF membrane switch.	On the Forward Attendant Panel (FAP), on PES ON/OFF membrane switch: the ON legend comes on.
2.On the Video Control Center (VCC) 10MH: push the PAX/SYS pushbutton switch.	On the PAX/SYS pushbutton switch: the ON legend comes on. On the Entertainment Control Panel (ECP) 11MH: the system initialisation starts the initial screen shows after the initialization is completed, the MAIN MENU screen comes on.

A. Procedure to Prepare the IFE system for Operation

ACTION	RESULT
1.On Video Control Center (VCC) 10MH: Push the PAX SYS pushbutton switch.	On the PAX SYS pushbutton switch: The internal light of the PAX SYS pushbutton switch comes on. The IFE system initialization process starts.
2.Wait until the system initialization is completed. NOTE: The system initialization can take five to ten minutes. 3.On the Crew/Control Panel (CP)/ crew terminal: Make sure that the GUI comes into the view.	On the Crew/Control Panel (CP)/ crew terminal: The Graphical User Interface (GUI) comes on.
