A. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the access door 824.
(2) Open the access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the DIP-switches of the Main Multiplexer (MM) 8MK are set as listed in the table below. Adjust them if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 23-33-00-820-001).
Subtask 23-33-00-865-137-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the DIP-switches of the Main Multiplexer (MM) 8MK are set as listed in the table below. Adjust them if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 23-33-00-820-001).

D. Install the Support Equipment
(1) Connect the LAPTOP - INTERFACE SOFTWARE RS232 with the cable to the RS 232 port of the MM 8MK.
(2) Energize the laptop and make sure, that the software DBMT tool is installed.

(1) Click the 'New MPES' tab on the DBMT screen.
(2) Click the 'PORT' arrow down button to show the 'PORT' selection list.
(3) Click 'COM 1' to make a selection of the connected RS 232 port.
(4) Click the 'Connect' button.
(5) Click the 'RECEIVE' button.
