A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 824.
   (3) Make sure that the access door 824 is open.

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

4. Procedure
Subtask 23-28-32-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the SDU Configuration Module (SCM)
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) Install the SCM (3) with the screws (2) and the washers (1).
   (6) Connect the connector (4).
   (7) If necessary, remove the new SIM card from the new SCM and install the SIM card retained during the removal procedure in the SCM (Ref. AMM TASK 23-28-32-000-803) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-28-32-400-803).

1.On the MCDU, on the MCDU MENU page:
On the MCDU:
  • Push the Line Select Key (LSK) adjacent to the SAT indication.
  • The SATCOM MAIN MENU page comes into view.
2.On the SATCOM MAIN MENU page:

  • Push the LSK adjacent to the SATCOM STATUS indication.
  • The SATCOM STATUS page comes into view.
3.On the SATCOM STATUS page:

  • Push the LSK adjacent to the BITE indication.
  • The SATCOM BITE STATUS page comes into view.
  • The SCM OK indication comes into view.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the access door 824.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
