Uploading of the Multiple VHF Data Radio (MVDR) Software

NOTE: It is necessary to do the uploading for each MVDR transceiver in the sequence that follows:

Upload the software to MVDR transceiver 1.
Interchange the two MVDR transceivers.
Upload the software to the other MVDR transceiver.
Put the MVDR transceivers back to their initial positions.

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft is in the ground configuration.
(2) On the overhead panel, on the DLS, make sure that the ON/OFF switch is off.

D. Do a Check of the Reference(s) of the Software Pre-loaded in the MVDR transceiver
(1) Get access to the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/COM page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-003).
(2) If the access to the VHF menu page and then to the LRU IDENTIFICATION page is not possible:

No software is loaded in the MVDR transceiver and you can do the uploading procedure as given in Para. 4.

(3) If the access to the LRU IDENTIFICATION page is possible:

Do a check of the reference of the software pre-loaded in the MVDR transceiver, on the MCDU:

1.On the MCDU, on the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/COM page 2/2: Push the line key adjacent to the VHF1(3) indication.	On the MCDU: The VHF1(3) menu page comes into view.
2.On the VHF page: Push the line key adjacent to the LRU IDENT indication.	On the MCDU: The LRU IDENTIFICATION page comes into view

A. Uploading of the MVDR Software
(1) Upload the MVDR software (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-00-610-804).

B. Do a Check of the Reference(s) of the Software Loaded in the MVDR transceiver
(1) Get access to the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/COM page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-003).
(2) Do a check of the reference of the software loaded in the MVDR transceiver, on the MCDU:

1.On the MCDU, on the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/COM page 2/2: Push the line key adjacent to the VHF1(3) indication.	On the MCDU: The VHF1(3) menu page comes into view.
2.On the VHF page: Push the line key adjacent to the LRU IDENT indication.	On the MCDU: The LRU IDENTIFICATION page comes into view.

5. Close-up
Subtask 23-12-00-860-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) On the MCDU, push the line select key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS menu page comes into view.
(2) On the MCDU, fully decrease the brightness of the MCDU screen (display off).
(3) Put the disk(s) in the storage box.

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
