A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the related HF coupler is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-000-001).
(3) If necessary, make sure that the upper attachment of the aft galley is removed (Ref. AMM D/O 25-33-41-00).
(4) Make sure that the related HF coupler rack is removed.
(5) Make sure that the dorsal fin is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-45-11-000-001).
Subtask 23-11-37-860-051-CS ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the related HF coupler is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-000-001).
(3) If necessary, make sure that the upper attachment of the aft galley is removed (Ref. AMM D/O 25-33-41-00).
(4) Make sure that the related HF coupler rack is removed.
(5) Make sure that the dorsal fin is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-45-11-000-001).
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the related HF antenna coupler is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-000-001).
(3) If necessary, make sure that the upper attachment of the aft galley is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-33-50-000-802).
(4) Make sure that the related HF coupler rack (3) is removed.
(5) Make sure that the dorsal fin is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-45-11-000-001).
Subtask 23-11-37-865-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the related HF antenna coupler is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-000-001).

Subtask 23-11-37-160-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Remove the sealant from around the hole for the HF feeder and from the antenna (1) connection with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
Use Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Prepare for electrical bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
Subtask 23-11-37-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the sealant from around the hole for the HF feeder and from the antenna (1) connection with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
Use Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Prepare for electrical bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
B. Installation of the HF Feeder
(1) From the external side of the fuselage:
(a) Put the HF feeder (6) in position through its hole in the aircraft structure.
(2) In the cabin:
(a) Loosely install the flange (8) on the HF feeder (6) with the nut (7).
(3) From the external side of the aircraft:
(a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to the mating surface of the flange (5).
(b) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the lower side of the flange (5).
(c) Install the bolts (3) with the washers (4) on the flange (5).
(d) Tighten the bolts (3) in a diagonally opposite sequence.
Make sure that the measured value is not more than the applicable value given in (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-869-002).
(f) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) around the flange (5) and on the heads of the bolts (3).
(g) Make the contour of the sealant around the flange (5) and on the heads of the bolts (3) smooth.
(h) Install the feedline lug (12) on the HF antenna (1).
(i) Install the cap nut (11).
(j) Torque the cap nut (11) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )
(k) Do a check of the bonding contact resistance between the HF antenna (1) and the feedline (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-720-005).
Make sure that the measured value is not more than the applicable value given in (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-869-002).
(l) Apply Varnish-- Electrical Bonding Structure (Material No.04TMB2) to the cap nut (11), the feedline lug (12) and if necessary to the adjacent area of the HF antenna (1).
(4) In the cabin:
(a) Install the flange (8) on the coupler rack support bracket (9) with the countersunk screws (10).
(b) Tighten the countersunk screws (10) in a diagonally opposite sequence.
Safety the nut (7) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(e) Do a check of the bonding contact resistance between the HF feeder (6) and the coupler rack support bracket (9) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-720-005).
Make sure that the measured value is not more than the applicable value given in (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-869-002).
(f) Apply Varnish-- Electrical Bonding Structure (Material No.04TMB2) to the countersunk screws (10).
Subtask 23-11-37-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) From the external side of the fuselage:
(a) Put the HF feeder (6) in position through its hole in the aircraft structure.
(2) In the cabin:
(a) Loosely install the flange (8) on the HF feeder (6) with the nut (7).
(3) From the external side of the aircraft:
(a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to the mating surface of the flange (5).
(b) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the lower side of the flange (5).
(c) Install the bolts (3) with the washers (4) on the flange (5).
(d) Tighten the bolts (3) in a diagonally opposite sequence.
NOTE: The bolts (3) give the electrical bonding between the HF feeder (6) and the aircraft structure.
(e) Do a check of the bonding contact resistance between the flange (5) and the aircraft structure (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-720-005). Make sure that the measured value is not more than the applicable value given in (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-869-002).
(f) Apply Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) around the flange (5) and on the heads of the bolts (3).
(g) Make the contour of the sealant around the flange (5) and on the heads of the bolts (3) smooth.
(h) Install the feedline lug (12) on the HF antenna (1).
(i) Install the cap nut (11).
(j) Torque the cap nut (11) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )

(k) Do a check of the bonding contact resistance between the HF antenna (1) and the feedline (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-720-005).
Make sure that the measured value is not more than the applicable value given in (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-869-002).
(l) Apply Varnish-- Electrical Bonding Structure (Material No.04TMB2) to the cap nut (11), the feedline lug (12) and if necessary to the adjacent area of the HF antenna (1).
(4) In the cabin:
(a) Install the flange (8) on the coupler rack support bracket (9) with the countersunk screws (10).
(b) Tighten the countersunk screws (10) in a diagonally opposite sequence.
NOTE: The countersunk screws (10) give the electrical bonding between the HF feeder (6) and the coupler rack support bracket (9).
(c) Tighten the Nut (7). WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(d) Safety the nut (7). Safety the nut (7) with
(e) Do a check of the bonding contact resistance between the HF feeder (6) and the coupler rack support bracket (9) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-720-005).
Make sure that the measured value is not more than the applicable value given in (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-869-002).
(f) Apply Varnish-- Electrical Bonding Structure (Material No.04TMB2) to the countersunk screws (10).
C. Close Access
(1) From the cabin side:
(a) Install the related HF coupler rack
1 Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
2 Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
3 Prepare for electrical bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
4 Hold the HF coupler rack (3) in position and install the screws (1) and the washers (2).
5 Tighten the screws (1).
Make sure that the measured value is not more than the applicable value given in (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-869-002).
7 Apply Varnish-- Electrical Bonding Structure (Material No.04TMB2) to the heads of the screws (1).
(2) If removed, install the upper attachment of the aft galley (Ref. AMM D/O 25-33-41-40).
(3) Install the related HF antenna coupler (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-400-001).
(4) From the external side of the fuselage:
(a) Install the dorsal fin (Ref. AMM TASK 53-45-11-400-001).
Subtask 23-11-37-410-050-CS ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) From the cabin side:
(a) Install the related HF coupler rack
1 Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
2 Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
3 Prepare for electrical bonding (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
4 Hold the HF coupler rack (3) in position and install the screws (1) and the washers (2).
5 Tighten the screws (1).
NOTE: The screws (1) give the electrical bonding between the HF coupler rack (3) and the aircraft structure.
6 Do a check of the bonding contact resistance between the HF coupler rack (3) and the aircraft structure (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-720-005). Make sure that the measured value is not more than the applicable value given in (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-869-002).
7 Apply Varnish-- Electrical Bonding Structure (Material No.04TMB2) to the heads of the screws (1).
(2) If removed, install the upper attachment of the aft galley (Ref. AMM D/O 25-33-41-40).
(3) Install the related HF antenna coupler (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-400-001).
(4) From the external side of the fuselage:
(a) Install the dorsal fin (Ref. AMM TASK 53-45-11-400-001).
C. Close Access
(1) From the cabin side:
(a) Install the related HF coupler rack:
1 Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
2 Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
3 Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
4 Hold the HF coupler rack (3) in position and install the screws (1) and the washers (2).
5 Tighten the screws (1).
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(2) If removed, install the upper attachment of the aft galley (Ref. AMM TASK 25-33-50-400-802).
(3) Install the related HF antenna coupler (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-400-001).
(4) From the external side of the fuselage:
(a) Install the dorsal fin (Ref. AMM TASK 53-45-11-400-001).
Subtask 23-11-37-865-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) From the cabin side:
(a) Install the related HF coupler rack:
1 Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
2 Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
3 Prepare the surface of the bonding point(s)
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-803).
4 Hold the HF coupler rack (3) in position and install the screws (1) and the washers (2).
5 Tighten the screws (1).
NOTE: The screws (1) give the electrical bonding between the HF coupler rack (3) and the aircraft structure.
6 Do the electrical resistance measurement and the final protection of the bonding point(s)(Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(2) If removed, install the upper attachment of the aft galley (Ref. AMM TASK 25-33-50-400-802).
(3) Install the related HF antenna coupler (Ref. AMM TASK 23-11-36-400-001).
(4) From the external side of the fuselage:
(a) Install the dorsal fin (Ref. AMM TASK 53-45-11-400-001).
D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
