C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the center pedestal, on the Multipurpose Control & Display Unit (MCDU):
(a) Adjust the brightness of the MCDU screen.
(b) Push the DATA mode key to get access to the "DATA INDEX" page.
(c) Push the line select key adjacent to the "A/C STATUS" indication.
(d) Make sure that the "IDLE/PERF" value is the same as the value you recorded during the removal. If it is not, enter "ARM" in the "CHG CODE" line adjacent to line select key 5L.
(f) Enter this value adjacent to line select key 6L.
(g) Set the brightness to OFF.
Subtask 22-83-34-710-057-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

NOTE: "ARM" is the initial code. You can change it when you enter three other characters in the airline modifiable-information file.
(e) Record the "IDLE/PERF" value in the scratchpad.(f) Enter this value adjacent to line select key 6L.
(g) Set the brightness to OFF.
D. Do these tests:
(1) Do the operational test of the Automatic Flight System (AFS) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-96-00-710-001).
Subtask 22-83-34-710-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do the operational test of the Automatic Flight System (AFS) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-96-00-710-001).
NOTE: As an alternative, you can do this operational test without the Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-10-00-710-002).
(2) On the center pedestal, on MCDU1(2): - Get access to the "A/C STATUS" page.
- The FM operational software-component with the FMS operational program-disk (1CAMD3) or the FMS operational-program CD-ROM (1CAMD7)
(Page 2: FMS SOFTWARE) - The navigation database with the active nav database-disk (the navigation database changes at intervals of 28 days)
